“Why not write, “Confess to Shinonome Akito” on your reso?” Rui began, followed by Tsukasa’s, “I think pining for one year is quite enough now”, and wrapped up with them in unison, “So just confess already!” Toya inhaled, took a look up to the sky, then proceeded to pick up his pen and twirled it again. “You think he really likes me back?” He finally tried for, softer than he expected. Tsukasa’s booming voice came through the phone again. “Of course! You think he doesn’t like you?! I think he fell harder, in my opinion.” The star let out a breathy laugh. “Fufu, maybe you should put “Kiss Shinonome Akito” on your bucket list.” Rui responded.
Toya doesn’t remember switching off his phone and writing those three words on his paper though, and now, in the morning, he’s staring at his notebook, which is slightly creased at the end, as if he fell asleep on it the night before. “Kiss Akito,” is scrawled on it in scratchy letters, a few random consonants tailing at the side before dropping off the page entirely, and for some reason, his phone is at 45%, when he swore he just charged it to full power a while back.
Well, damn. Looks like this New Year resolution just got a lot harder than he thought.

Tsukasa gave him another look. “Yes, you can!! For example, I hate English, but you don’t see this future star slacking off on studying it, do you??” He poked Rui with his index finger, his long, painted nail jabbing him.
Unexpectedly, Rui let out a giggle.
This giggle wasn’t like his usual giggles. It was more out-of-control, like he couldn’t keep it in. It was more bubbly than his usual laugh.
Tsukasa froze.
And, so did Rui.

The ginger-head turned to Toya with a look of surprise. “You’re…making pancakes?” he asked.
