Summary
I watched Spinning Out on Netflix and it made me want to write an au about figure skater George and Hockey player Dream.

George bent his knees and moved his body with easy strokes, both skates leaving deep incisions on the ice beneath him. The melody performed in his ears for no one to hear, but him; soft piano later accompanied by fierce and strong violin intertwined with his heartbeat. His movements were produced with smooth elegance. Every jump and spin was nothing short of balletic.

"I wanted to ask Wilbur, but he has to go get his brother so, uh-" Dream fiddled around nervously. "I'm here to ask you."
"Me? To be a live model?" George asked in disbelief. "You don't know me."
"Yes but you have very simple proportions, and very basic facial structure-"
"You know I'm trying hard not to get offended but you're making it impossible," George interjected, his arms crossed in front of him.

You know, when George moved to the States to go to school, he knew some strange things might happen. The American College life do be like that sometimes, it was expected.
But posing naked in a blond guy's apartment for a promise of fifty dollars and a Chick-fil-a meal? George wasn't desperate for money per se, but the offer was quite intriguing.

The details on it were quite spot on, and the drawing totally did not fit the quota of a “doodle”. It surpassed it, even, with all the effort made into every little stroke.
It belonged to a spot in the gallery, not in his locker.

And George, who’d apparently lost any filter between his brain and his mouth, had replied, “I like your face.”It's 1am, George is at the library studying, and there's a cute boy sitting across him. If only George had any filter between his mind and his mouth.

Summary
The way his hands move to wrap gently around George’s waist, giving him all the time to pull away, is automatic. George doesn’t resist though, and allows himself to be tugged into a firm chest and Dream’s nose to press into the skin just above his collarbone, where a red flush has already begun to rise.
“I missed this,” he mumbles quietly, happiness blooming like spring flowers in his chest when George’s hands come to settle around his neck in something that’s almost a hug, but not quite. “I missed you.”
“I missed you too,” George says.
Dream has never cared for flowers. Sure, they're pretty, and they smell nice, but what use do they really have?
And then George comes crashing into his life, a simple gardener from a kingdom far away with his smooth accent and dazzling smiles, and Dream thinks that maybe flowers do have some uses after all.
