Summary
War narrowly avoided, Soundwave works for the Senate in Iacon's telescope/satellite communication nexus. Laserbeak and Ravage accompany him there on the cliffs above the city. Soundwave is happy to escape the noise of millions of Iaconian minds.
It's peaceful until an anomaly appears in Cybertron's atmosphere. It is blurry to the optics and shows up in all videos/photographs as a gold smudge. It does not respond to hails. It neither avoids ballistic volleys nor takes damage from them.
Though it ostensibly has made no threats, the Primes task Soundwave with evaluating it...

Summary
Soundwave, after the war has ended, is elected as part of the Senate. One thing leads to another, and a bodyguard would be very useful. Cue Mirage, who still somehow retains all of his expertise from the war, and Soundwave chooses him.
But then Mirage comes back more injured than Soundwave expected, after rescuing him and his minicons no less. Just what does he do when he's not by Soundwave's side? And what hides under Iacon?
OR: Even after the war, some do not stop fighting. Mirage does not stop fighting.
