Summary
It was a head, curtained by a congealed dredge of hair draped over so much of the face that he could barely discern their features, only making out a single desperately wide eye.
"…Safe…"
He could barely make out the word at first, just a waterlogged gargle that escaped like a ragged cough.
"Keep… . Keep it safe… . ."
Grace paused his struggle, not because he felt the danger was gone no, his body was coiled to jerk away as soon as the hand tugged again but instead they just clung tightly. It was because he hadn't heard a human a voice in so long, rough and deep, and so desperate.
"S'more than me… .. . More than me…"

Summary
Simon's usually stoic face scrunched with confusion. "What are you doing?"
"Well- I just, ya know. I just wanted to-" Grace closed his eyes and took a deep breath that did nothing to calm his nerves before he shakily managed out. "I made you, a bouquet."
Simon's expression only twisted further into distress, "Why did you do that?"
Grace felt his measly courage wheeze out of him like a pathetic balloon, letting out a weak little, "Huh?"
After a moment for this brain to catch up with his mouth, he gulped and opened his mouth to try again, then stopped. Started again. "It’s… flowers."
"Yes," Simon said slowly, "I can see that."
Grace swallowed and tentatively added, "…For you."
That landed wrong. Simon’s immediately tensed, not in anger, more like suspicion and concern. He eyed the flowers with pursed lips before slowly drawing out another, "Why?"
"What?"

"If the Agent came through, they probably got all the attention of the locals," Oracle replied, a pointedly clear hint to keep delving deeper.
"Hate to be whoever they are." Jason chuckles as he finally reaches a heavy gate, "Just walked past a flock of crows the size of my calf." He looked up at the spikes that lined the top of the gate, blood smeared across the wood with some nondescript flesh hanging from the iron. Under his mask, his nose scrunched with disgust.
"I'm never accepting a favour from you again."
"Noted."

Summary
He turned, ready to bark out a customary ‘go away’, but the threat wilts away as he met the other boy's red-rimmed eyes. He was a smaller kid, his hunched form swallowed by an oversized jacket. Sandy blonde hair fell across his forehead, spiky and messy against his forehead. The boy's skin was pale against the cold Gotham air, an angry pink splattered against his nose and cheeks. The boy was glaring over his shoulder, his blotchy, tear-streaked face daring him to say anything about his presence.
If Jason were a nicer boy, maybe if he were a little bit older and not in the throes of his rage-fueled grief, he’d approach this with some gentleness or tact. Instead, he glared right back and snapped.
“What’s wrong with you?”
He watched with a knot in his chest as the boy wavered, his eyes becoming watery and rushed to hide his face away in his knees. He at least had enough shame to mumble an immediate, “Sorry.”

“It’s not like we’ll get any answers from our guide,” Legend grumbled, though it was more subdued. He kicked a nearby stone as they walked, “Unless we want to play the most elaborate 20 questions ever.”
Twilight sighed quietly amongst the chatter, looking past them all to watch as their companion’s bell shook up and down with their steps. His mind was a whirlwind of questions with no answers. The only person they’ve met so far had seemingly been cursed in some way to not be seen or speak. With his voice barely a rumble, he murmured.
“Hopefully, the Hero of this Land will have answers.”

Summary
Inspired by: @emzebear (Bear) and a lot of various swap Aus, along with General bloody Mary content from many other creators!
Another convict is on loan for PHM, though after an accident it forces both Simon Eden and Ryland Grace onto the ship, and due to many complications Simon ends up in a coma for a long time. After he wakes up the Trio learn to live with each other in attempt to survive, some attempting to hide secretes from each other, eventually reaching Erid and have a few complications while attempting to settle down.
In short; An AU where Simon also worked for the Project Hail Mary, and was forced onto the ship alongside Grace, now the two of them have to learn to live each other in space, as they both recover from various trauma.
