Summary
She remembers now—she can’t stop remembering now—the first time she witnessed mara, being dragged away from a crumbling home through desolate streets. Her rescuer, though she remembers neither name nor face, pointed it out to her on a nearby building as she kicked and screamed.
The ginkgo leaves are signs of the Abundance. We’ll stay away from them.
Jingliu has long accepted her place as a grain of sand in the sea of gods and as a sacrificial lamb in the hands of her superiors. That is, until her skills with the sword draw the attention of the General and put her on a path she never foresaw.

Summary
In the morning, the mercenaries wake her up as they stop outside Sumeru City to finalize their sale. Furina brushes herself off and gets out, walking to the entrance like she’s in a dream. She actually made it. The city is wrapped around an enormous tree like a vine. She’s never seen anything like it.
“Wow,” Furina says to herself. She’d be remiss to say her eyes weren’t a bit misty. “I’m actually here.”
“Move it,” one of the mercenaries says.
“You’re blocking the way,” adds another.
“Oh. Sorry.”
After the prophecy is fulfilled, Furina is sure of three things: she's aimless, lonely, and bad at making macaroni. So when Neuvillette asks her to personally deliver his letters to the Archons of nearby nations, she doesn't have any reason to decline.
It turns out that the world outside of Fontaine is a lot less forgiving. Furina will need some help if she hopes to make it back home unscathed.

Summary
“Hey, good idea. Mind if I hide here with you?”
A Foxian with light purple hair looks at Jingliu with a smile on her face. She’s perky—too perky for the organized chaos of the Palace of Astrum—but she seems like she can handle it.
“Only if you want to be found,” Jingliu says.
Jingliu doesn't mind being a Cloud Knight. When your only memories of your home are that of its death, you can't be picky with who takes you in. Unfortunately, her skill with a blade catches the eye of her superiors, who ask her to lead a group to defend against an Abundance attack on a nearby ship. She can't be picky with who she takes with her, either.
Or, how Jingliu finds companionship in the sword, her friends, and the sword once more.

Summary
He’s lying down, as he has been for pretty much the entire time Lumine has been here. He’s been ordered to stay on bedrest until the doctor deems him well enough to start increasing his activity levels again. Lumine knows he hates it. She hates it.
Ajax smiles when she turns on the lamp beside the bed.
“Soup delivery. I drew the short straw,” Lumine explains as he props himself up with his pillows and accepts the bowl.
“What an awful streak of bad luck,” Ajax says, taking the first sip. “You’ve drawn the short straw three days in a row now.”
Lumine pays a visit to Childe's hometown after everything in Fontaine has settled down. She stays a bit longer than intended, but no one actually minds.

Besides, she thinks, knowing how time yields to nothing, give her two hundred years and Baiheng will be dead, like everyone else that has passed through her life. Give her enough time, and Baiheng won’t be anything but a memory.
