Summary
Gerard didn’t think he would make it past the age of 25. It just never seemed to be in the cards for him. The world he lived in was not meant for people like him. That’s why at the age of 26, somehow still kicking, he found himself adrift, attending weekly group therapy sessions for suicide survivors and scrambling to make a list of all the reasons he shouldn’t try again.
He certainly never expected the newest, aggressively hostile member of the therapy group - Frank, who seems to hate everyone and everything on principle - to become the next bullet point on that list.

Mikey wishes he would stop talking. He wishes this wasn't happening, but he thinks it's much worse, somehow, that there's no pretense or confusion in his brother's tone. Even through the haze of alcohol and whatever else he's on, the hands on his body know just who they're touching.
