Buck narrows his eyes and crosses his arms over his mostly bare pecs; the only thing covering his upper half is two suspenders.
Buck, feeling a bit exposed and rather embarrassed, puffs out his chest in an attempt to intimidate. He watches as the man’s eyes roam over the broad expanse of his shoulders, and then to his biceps, and then back up to Buck’s face.
The man licks his lips.

Summary
Theo sighs dramatically and with full gusto, all the fight leaving him as he stares up at the ceiling.
“But I don't want to go to bed,” he whines quietly.
“I know,” Eddie says empathetically, “Going to bed is Buck’s least favorite part of the day, too. But, hey,” he continues, “The more sleep you get, the more energy you have for adventures tomorrow. Isn’t that right, Buck?”
“That’s right,” Buck says, “and Eddie told me that he was going to take you to see the Hollywood sign tomorrow.”
Eddie had not told Buck that he was going to take Theo to see the Hollywood sign.
Buck’s face appears on the screen, wearing a knowing grin, and Eddie realizes, with a fond sort of inevitability, that they’ll be going to the Hollywood sign tomorrow.

“I-I’m sorry, I think you must have called the wrong Evan Buckley. Who is Charlotte Davis?”

He bares his teeth, heart battering the same way it did in that damn New Mexico hospital. "You're looking at me right now, do you understand? You're answering my questions. Now tell me, where is Buck?"
After New Mexico, Buck's house burns down, and he's nowhere to be found. Eddie promptly loses his mind.

Hen looks between the two of them, blinking open-mouthed like she’s watching a mating ritual on the Discovery Channel. “My God, they’re soulmates.”

No. Whatever it is, no. Eddie would like Buck to stop chasing whatever that thing is. Would like to grab the thought out of Buck’s concussed head and throw it out a window.
Buck’s face drops into something serious, eyes wide. “You called me baby.”
There it is. Out the window it did not go.
“No, I didn’t,” Eddie says.
Very smooth. Convincing.
“You did.” Buck points at him, floppy and triumphant. “At the— the thing. With the— you said it. You called me baby.”
“I didn’t say that.”
“Eddie.” Buck is delighted. “I heard you. I was concussed, not deaf.”
“I didn’t call you baby,” Eddie scoffs. “I called you a baby. Because you got a bump on the head and were crying about it.”
“That’s not—” Buck starts.
“You were being a baby,” Eddie continues, standing now, because a moving target is harder to hit. “I’m gonna go tell the others you’re awake.”
“Eddie.”
“Rest your head, bud.”
