The voice wraps around Nya like a venomous caress, chilling her to the core.. Has Sensei Wu, misjudged her potential? Or worse, have her friends become as predictable as the tides?
He luxuriates in her torment, savoring her fear like a connoisseur with a rare vintage. The realization crashes over Nya like a poisoned wave: she is more vulnerable than she ever imagined. The fear of losing Jay or her family was a familiar shadow, but this? This is an unfathomable abyss, threatening to warp her into a reflection she won't recognize.
After The Hands Of Time fiasco, with Sensei Wu lost in time and Nya and Jay celebrating their engagement, the ninja find themselves adrift, blissfully unaware of the darkness spiraling around Nya. As insidious shadows gather, they confront not only a terrifying new enemy but also the agonizing possibility of losing Nya to the encroaching darkness. Can they rescue her from the brink, or will the darkness devour her, tearing the team apart from the inside?

* DR, spoilers * but it’s only the Merge and Jay doesn’t lose his memory and no one gets lost in the Merge.
The Merge didn't just unite realms; it resurrected secrets best left buried. Lloyd thought navigating his relationships with Harumi and his dad was challenging? He's about to discover a whole new dimension of complexity.
Morro, the spectral master of wind, has returned from the Departed Realm, but he's not the vengeful wraith we remember. Now, he exists as a semi-corporeal, sarcastic guide, visible only to Sora, the newest member of the ninja team. Sora harbors secrets that run deeper than the Realm of Shadows, and she’s about to learn that having a ghost as a mentor is the least of her concerns.
Caught between realms, Morro is compelled to guide the new ninja through the merged chaos. Armed with nothing but his sharp wit and a biting sense of humor, he must navigate a world where the past and present collide.
Basically, Lloyd and Morro try to be parents.
Rated M for mature themes and content.

It felt like a Serpentine fang twisting in my gut as I watched tears stain her face. "No more hiding, no more lies!" Harumi's voice cracked, each word a shard of glass. "Rumi, we can fix this," I begged, the plea falling flat.
Her eyes, twin infernos, seared into mine, reflecting a torment I couldn't comprehend.
"Don't you get it, Lloyd? This is who I am now! Why couldn't you love *all* of me?"
"I do, Harumi! I do!"
The words choked in my throat, desperate and raw. But she recoiled, flinching as if burned by my touch. In another life, she wasn't crushed by rubble. Now, she's buried herself so deep, she's a ghost.
Fate, or perhaps misfortune, led me to her – living a new life, masked in secrets. Now I'm torn: expose her, or protect the ghost of the girl I loved?
But beneath the surface, a flicker of hope remains. A chance to piece her back together, to love *all* of her, if she'll let me.
Maybe I'm a fool chasing shadows, but what's Ninjago without a little heartbreak?

the merge brought all the realms together, but tore jay and nya's whole world apart. now, they have to find their way back to one another, to bring their family back together.
They’d been at peace for so long, it was the reason she and Jay had felt safe enough to settle into the life that had always eluded them.
All of Nya’s fears, the ones that she’d talked herself out of believing could happen as the girls grew up enveloped in safety, came crashing into reality in that storm.

Garmadon stood up from where he’d fallen and picked up his weapons – shiny purple blades, four of them – one in each hand. He charged towards the Green Ninja, ready to strike. The superhero dodged again and landed a hit to the back of his head. Garmadon yelled something Jeff couldn’t make out before throwing one of the blades. The Green Ninja moved aside, but clearly not quick enough – the blade had hit him in the arm and from what Jeff could see, it had drawn blood.
The seconds ticked by slowly as the Green Ninja turned around, his hand pressing against the wound. It felt like the whole city was holding its breath, waiting to see what he would do next. Waiting to see how it would all play out. Waiting to see if he’d win. Because losing wasn’t an option if Garmadon was the one who ended up winning.
EDIT: this rewrite will have a TON of changes. cutting out the oni-dragon stuff (saving that for later ig) and focusing more on emotional stuff and bringing the plot heavy stuff in for book 2. i wanna know what yall think -- anything you want me to add/delete/keep? it might influence the way the fic ends up... tell me in the comments!

Two different prophecies are shown to two different people. Kai sacrifices himself so Wu and the ninja have a chance to fight back. He meets Morro and they form an unlikely alliance.. and fall in love. Lots of RGB content & found family too ( i love them).
