Summary
A story that examines what it means to be part spider. Based on the episode "The Savage Spider-Man".
Peter comes home from his jungle adventure exhausted, but he doesn't remember much of his time in the jungle. He doesn't know why Wolverine seems to have a newfound respect for him either. And he certainly has no idea where that voice is coming from.
Originally posted on ff.net two years ago, I was finally ambitious enough to cross-post it here. It is primarily an Ultimate Spider-Man story, but I've added elements of the movies too. MCU sprinkles as I like to call them.

But when a new young woman moves into his apartment building, he can’t help but linger, drawn to her.
And after all, it’s a brand new day.

Summary
Ever since Mr. Stark had given his suit back and May had found out, after her initial shock and the promise of grounding until he was forty, Peter got a comprehensive set of rules to follow if he wanted to even consider continuing to be Spider-Man.
After Homecoming (and arresting his date's dad), Peter was looking forward to regaining a sense of normalcy in his life. At least some, as much normalcy as a teenage superhero could have. But all sense of normalcy went out of the window when his neighbor's niece moved in next door.
Peter just hit the jackpot.

.This story is set in the MCU, after "Spider-Man: Homecoming". There are obvious changes to the universe, but the core characters from the movies will be basically the same.

I'm nostalgic on everything related to Spider-Man. I grew up reading the 1960-1970s comics before moving on to the 1980s-2010s comics when I was a teen.
