Charlie shakes his head rapidly. When he interrupts, he sounds just as tired as Dennis feels. “He’s talking about himself, dude.”
(Sometimes, Mac's homophobic tirades get to be too much. So Dennis closes himself off in the back office and gets high with Charlie. It's fine. He probably won't even remember this tomorrow.)

Summary
There were some things that Dennis had been wrestling with his whole life. Things that started out as idle questions when he was a teenager, things not at all helped by dating his best friends in everything but name for his entire adulthood. Sometimes he wondered if things ever got easier, or if you just got older and learned how to shoulder their weight.
Mostly, Dennis learned to get really good at ignoring his feelings, even while he indulged them.

After tracing the Great Guigino's Fish Shortage of 2015 back to the unresolved sexual tension between Mac and Dennis, Frank and Charlie decide to take matters into their own hands and convince their friends to finally, FINALLY bang it out. They're going to have to be subtle about it, though. Dee is so sure they will fail that she bets her apartment on it. Frank and Charlie have two days and a lot of connections with the hotel industry. Dee is hell-bent on winning and not even remotely above cheating.
I'd say, "What could go wrong?", but, dear reader—you probably already know. :)

One faithful night in North Dakota, blissfully subdued by the Eagles' victory in the Super Bowl, Dennis Reynolds finds himself waking up from a highly intense sex dream with Mac, who he saw on TV during the game but hasn't actually spoken to in a year. It's nothing, it means nothing, of course, but when the dreams keep happening every night and refuse to stop, Dennis decides that enough is enough. Follow his journey back to Philadelphia as he attempts to put these dreams to rest, finding more than he's looking for.

“Dennis,” Dr. Eddy says, still writing, still smiling. “I want you to take some work home with you from this session.” She finally looks up at him and nods encouragingly. Dennis can’t help the way his eyes roll all the way back into his head.
“Great,” he mutters.
“I want you to track your impulses,” she says. “I want you to track your impulses and I want you to put the intention behind that impulse in one of two categories.”
She stands, goes to her desk. She opens a drawer and pulls out a second notebook. She opens it to the first page and begins to write in it. Then, she comes to Dennis, stops right in front of him and presents the journal to him, still opened.
She’s drawn a table. A question looms at the top of the page: What is my intention with this action? And there are only two columns. One labeled growth and the other: stagnation.

Dennis decides that there should be a third column: destruction.
