Summary
The man hovering over him leaned back, releasing Grian completely. Cold night air rushed in to fill the void.
“I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”
With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.
This man wasn’t a civilian, wasn’t even a hero.
“Hello, Doctor,” the villain mused. “You were quite the help today.”

Laughing lightly, Legundo just smiled gently as he rummaged through the fridge. “I would’ve thought you’d be texting and calling for hours in your free time. Why stick to the letters?”
“Louis prefers it,” Owen sighs, though a fond expression crossed his face as he stared down at his lover’s latest letter out in front of him on the counter. “And I… sort of like it. Digital correspondence can be deleted by accident or lost, this way, I always have something of his.”

Summary
Two hundred years after the events that took place in Oakhurst, Scott, Shelby, and Drift are on their annual trip to the town. This year, instead of a still grave, they find Avid, just coming out of a long stay in Limbo. His arrival, though it is much-appreciated, upsets the peaceful lives of the remaining vampires, and forces them to face head-on long buried problems, feelings, and memories. As for Avid, he feels like a stranger to this modern world, trying to slot himself back into place where he used to fit neatly. But maybe, just maybe, this development is exactly what they all need.

Exploring crypts is a great way to find all kinds of things. Alchemical recipes, spells, bones, colds. However, this time he's found something new - a book meant for vampire abilities. He's curious, it's the first one he's managed to get his hands on that wasn't going to be burnt. It'll be perfect for Cleo or Apo, but first he wants to get a proper look at it.
This changes everything. He might not be a vampire, but he's not really fully human anymore either.
