“Are you ready to go through with the plan?” he asks in a hushed tone. Dream’s brows furrow in confusion as he racks his brain for context of what his friend could be alluding to. As if George can see the gears turning inside Dream’s head, he clarifies— “With the T.A?”
The blond’s lips press together dangerously, the tension in his own jaw almost enough to snap before he swallows in a fruitless attempt to hide the disdain coursing through his bloodstream.
“Oh, yeah.” he tries, “What exactly was I supposed to do again? Like go talk to him and tell him you like him, or—”
George’s hiss cuts him off mid-sentence. “No!” he sneers. “What the fuck is wrong with you? No! You don’t just tell a guy you like him, you have to make him jealous.”
or, Dream helps George out by pretending to be his boyfriend despite being madly in love with him.

“Well…” The boy stands up, he walks until he is standing right in front of Dream. He reaches up and grabs a fruit before sitting back down. “Technically, they are. They are a type of orange, a mix of sweet oranges and mandarin oranges. They’re smaller than regular oranges, smoother skin too.”
The boy holds the clementine out to Dream. He lets the boy drop it into his hand.

He remembers that her hair was long and pretty and red, and that her eyes had sparkled, and that she had just a few more freckles than him. He remembers thinking she was the prettiest girl in the world.
He remembers that the first time he told his dad about her, he'd been lectured for saying he loved her. He'd been told love was something conditional, something you had to earn and certainly not something to give out to the girl you sat next to in chemistry class. He remembers feeling guilty for wanting to say he still did.

“Why do you have to be so fucking obnoxious all the time,” Dream grits out. It isn’t a question.
“You’re the one who’s making me look like an idiot in front of Coach. You’re the one who’s done nothing but cause problems since mmph–”
Right when he’s talking, Dream rudely interrupts him by surging forward and pressing their lips together.
