He held Stiles’ face like it was the most precious thing and licked Stiles’ neck like he owned it. A kiss was the first thing to greet Stiles in the mornings they spent together, and at nights, it was the last thing he felt on his face. Each time was more desperate than the last.
Derek told him he was made to be kissed. It was a reward, a pleasure, a relief.
And then, after all of this, he would disappear. For two days, three, or for a week. Stiles would choke from the thought that this time he definitely ruined it (how? god, how?), and then, in a click of a light, Derek would come back as if he were always there. Calling from a hidden number, cupping his chin, tugging Stiles closer with his hand splayed on his back, so big and insistent. Kissing, loving, refusing to let go.
But only in a closed room, in the darkest corner of a restaurant, in a black sports car with its windows thick and tinted.
Stiles dreaded saying goodbye.

“I’ll bring it to the cleaner’s and give it back to you,” Stiles said, and then Derek didn’t see his jacket for three weeks and just assumed Stiles forgot all about it.
Only then he does bring it back and, well. It doesn’t smell like smoke anymore, that’s for sure. It holds a weeks-old sort of chemical scent, he assumes from wherever Stiles brought it to be cleaned, so faint Derek would hardly notice if he weren’t looking for it. Under that, a hint of Derek’s own scent. All overlaid with a whole lot of teenage boy. Like Stiles threw it on the ground and rolled around on top of it for a year or so.
Stiles keeps scent-marking Derek, and it's going to drive Derek crazy.

Stiles spent the first week after waking up in the hospital, after apparently having a seizure, freaking out. He asked a multitude of different, hysterical questions that made his dad interrogate him worriedly about how he was feeling.
Stiles spent the second week freaking out Scott and cursing Deaton with all the strength he had. The first time they met up after he’d been discharged, Stiles looked Scott straight in the eyes and asked him, very seriously, “Have you, by any chance, been bitten by a werewolf in the middle of the night after finding half of a corpse?”
Scott gave him a long, blank stare, before shrilly responding, “Stiles, what the hell?!”
Stiles took that to mean that Scott had not, in fact, been gallivanting off in the woods looking for dead bodies.
Or the mortifying ordeal of dimension travel and all the morally dubious quandaries that come with it.
