“You know who.” Nancy’s eyes are fierce, battling with Robin’s hard stare.
“It doesn’t matter to you, Nancy. You don’t like girls. We aren’t dating. It’s none of your business.”
“It is my business, Robin.”
OR
Nancy Wheeler doesn't like girls. Until she does. Robin Buckley hates the fact that two girls are after her, even if it might boost her ego just a bit.

Well, it comes as close to ending as it ever has been. Closer still than last year with the Russians, closer than when the Mindflayer took up home in Will’s body, closer than when… it’s just, so, so close, Robin feels.
Being a snarky teenage lesbian at the best of times, means she’s a broken mess of a woman at the worst of times. And when the world is seconds from ending, yeah, she’d classify that as the worst of times.
Still, she stands tall and throws a molotov cocktail at an otherworldly being she’s not entirely sure can be killed.

“Gee, I wonder,” he spits through gritted teeth. “Maybe it’s ‘cause you’re a total ass? Some dipshit who won’t stop bragging about how evil he is doesn’t really sound like the kinda guy I’d wanna bring home to my folks.”
"But there’s no proof of my evil deeds to speak of! I could be lying, after all.” He leans in close, grinning like a cat who’s caught the cream. “I could lie about anything if I put my mind to it. I have quite the imagination, you know. And tons of free time. Something like this would be a cakewalk.”

Here was the problem: The Master of Coffee Magic had fallen for the Knight Commander of the Republic. A man he used to utterly despise, who grew onto him with time and soft displays of sincerity.
Here was the problem: The Coffee Mage fell in love with the Divine’s Paladin, chosen to represent the Light God themself. His complete opposite, his foil, and yet still, someone so similar, it was like the distinction between black and white. Too much color, and no color at all, what was the difference? White light was the essence of all colors, unseparated. Black paint was the essence of all other paint colors thrown together into an indistinguishable oneness. So, so antithetical, yet so alike.
Here was the problem: Espresso loves Madeleine, but the reverse could not be said to be true.
