Summary
Sieun goes back to the hospital one day only to find out that Sooho is gone. When he can't find him, no matter how hard he tries, he assumes that Sooho woke up and hid from him intentionally.
He stops looking, but Sooho--- and his accident--- put into perspective what really matters.
Sieun gives up pleasing his parents. He learns to fight, to use a knife and then a gun. He gets tattooed. He joins a gang. He thinks he's almost okay with all of it, thinks he's almost fine--- until he meets Sooho again years later.

Todoroki is in his office again, closing the door behind him and ruining the taste of Aizawa’s jelly pouch, as well as usurping his time that he’d been planning to spend grading.
"If he's Midoriya, then how do you explain the sudden personality change?" Shoto asks, like there hadn’t been a whole string of things recently that could be the cause. As if their whole class hadn’t changed in the last week and a half.
"He just went through a villain attack," Aizawa says.
"We all did."
"You've been acting differently, too."
"How?"

“Not everyone is born equal,” Izuku said, his voice low yet still deafening in the suddenly small-feeling auditorium. The presence of hundreds of students was suffocating him, but… He had to say this. “Is this what you’re trying to tell me?”
“Midoriya-!” Aizawa-sensei was standing up from his chair, but surprisingly, it’s Kacchan who stopped him.
“No,” he said, uncharacteristically quiet. “Let him say his piece. He’s right.”

He’s been (supposedly) in the USA for so long now… And almost a decade ago, even the occasional birthday cards have stopped arriving. Izuku had always assumed it was because of his quirklessness, despite his mother’s assurances to the contrary.
But now, he was here, sitting pressed into the corner of the sofa in the living room, various tubes connecting him to machinery which took up the other half of the sofa.
It was pretty obvious why he had not been able to visit, once Izuku got a good look at his face.
Or, rather, at the lack of his face.
