Adam knew he had kind of a hard time indulging in things. He mostly found that this didn’t cause too many problems - refusing to go out to dinner or buy that new pair of shoes meant more money in his savings account, after all, and that was never a bad thing. It only became an issue when refusing to go out to dinner meant skipping dinner, and not buying that new pair of shoes meant wearing the ones with holes in them for another two months.
So he was trying to get better. He was trying to get better at wanting things. One of the things he was trying to get better at wanting was Ronan Lynch, because Ronan wanted him, as well, and that, for some reason, turned the want into a different, more pressing kind of hunger. Which was why he was driving to the Barns at just after midnight, coming off of a six hour shift, needing to get up for another one in five hours.

“You’re in a mood this morning,” Remus intones, more than a bit breathily while Sirius moves his hand to push beneath Remus’s pants from behind, cupping one of his cheeks for a good and proper squeeze.
“Mmm, careful, or else I’d think you don’t like this method of being woken up,” Sirius counters, feels himself preen at how Remus’s face dusts scarlet, though it doesn’t last long when Remus retaliates by tugging at his hair, beyond mulish looking at Sirius’s glee.
“You know, I do have to do some more research on that final paper for charms that Flitwick gave us.”
“Are you sure of that,” Sirius asks, dipping back down to worry the skin of Remus’s earlobe between his teeth, while the pads of his fingers make a pedal soft trail to the cress of his arse, lighter than breath while he circles the small, tight entrance of him— just grazing around the hole with languid intent, occasionally dragging over the opening with a dry finger, never delving any deeper than that.
—OR—
It’s the final week of classes— for their final term at Hogwarts— and the boys are in the midst of some languid, early morning love making when Sirius asks Remus to just bloody agree to move in with him.

Remus knows that Sirius isn’t the type to settle down with a partner, to go bowling for a date, or texting countless messages that amount to nothing at all at the end of the conversation. And Remus is sorta sick of the idea of love, of trying so hard only to end up heartbroken and eating a gallon of Chubby Bunny in his favorite sweats and cursing John Hughes for pretending Hollywood romances can happen to ordinary high schoolers.
So yeah— This thing they’ve fallen into with each other is good. They’re friends— best friends— and they have fun and they’re apparently really fucking good in bed together, and Sirius never looks at Remus with pity when he spots him gazing at his profile absentmindedly, and he doesn’t mind when Remus traces invisible designs against his skin when they’re soaking in the after glow, and he never treats him any different.
This is good, this is fun, this is completely untethered from the bull shit of romance.
—OR—
Remus is getting over an inevitable break up by having spicy times with the best friend he’s been half in love with for practically his entire life, but GASP, is Sirius also in love with him?
