Sweet lolitas, don’t go / you’re still young - Studio Killers

The aftermath of Adrian’s sexual encounter has left him vulnerable and falling apart at the seams as he desperately tries to shove the experience under a rug already bursting with traumatic memories and feelings. Things only get more tense as Trevor and Sypha return to the castle, asking questions and trying to figure out what exactly happened to Adrian to make him so closed off - and why exactly there are two corpses outside the doorway with poles shoved up their arses.

He had no fear of blood or guts, especially not when it was Lord Dio, open before him, inviting him in to feast on His body, not unlike Christ himself. Vanilla had grown up Christian, in Mass and in the Church, though the idea of the Christian God did not even entice him. It was not until he met Lord Dio, who found him on the streets of Cairo selling his own body for a living, that he realized there was a God, and that God was Him. And no longer would he eat tasteless, hard crackers, and watered down wine at Mass- Vanilla had Lord Dio’s blood directly, His body directly. He had retreated into his thoughts, but came back as Lord Dio spoke.

“Vanilla Ice, I invite you to eat my liver.”

    Summary

After a moment, Caesar registered a blurred moving object passing in front of his face. A second later, there was a,
“Hello? Dude, can you take our order?”
More blinking. More time to register. There was a lot of green, but maybe it was a face.
“Welcome to the Daily Grind. What can I get for you today?”
“Um, buddy, my eyes are up here.”
Caesar was a tall guy. Like, annoyingly tall. Sometimes-he-hit-his-head-on-doorframes tall. But Caesar had to actually tilt his head up to look this guy square in the eye. He was a basketball player. He had to be. What else could he be doing with all that height?
In a moment of horror, Caesar realized he had been talking directly into this customer’s chest.
“You’ve got quite a pair of pecs,” Caesar heard himself say.

    Summary

To be human is to want. Wanting food so badly that you’ve gone past hunger and into delirium. Wanting to sleep, but being too cold to, because Dario’s drunk away the firewood money again. Wanting a shred of safety, a taste of compassion, a brief example of what it might be like to live a life free from pain and fear and longing. Humanity, in Dio’s eyes, has nothing in particular to recommend it.

In which Dio struggles with the stress of humanity and makes a fateful decision.
