With how drunkenly uncooperative Sanzo is, they almost fall down the stairs twice on their way up. Gojyo doesn't really mind having been sent out to fetch him - Sanzo had disappeared after dinner, and Hakkai had made a few comments about how unfortunate it would be if they were delayed heading off in the morning.
Luckily it's a small village, and Sanzo's blond head had stood out like a beacon in the dim bar. He'd looked pissed to see Gojyo, and then furious when Gojyo came over and broke into his conversation with some guy. But for all that Sanzo complained loudly in Gojyo's ear the whole way out of the bar, he'd begrudgingly gone along. Life is easier when you don't disappoint Hakkai.
