"In the early hours of Sunday, the 30th of September, 1888, two corpses were discovered: That of Elizabeth Stride, uncovered at 1 a.m. in Dutfield’s Yard, and Catherine Eddowes, whose body was found in Mitre Square, forty-five minutes later."
Will Graham had never expected to return to the field and had built a life for himself outside of crime, teaching younger, still hopeful aspirant detectives the art of murder, without the rose-coloured tint that clouds their vision; dark and grisly as it truly is. Yet when his former boss Detective Chief Inspector Jack Crawford of the Scotland Yard requests his aid in the Jack the Ripper homicides, he simply cannot resist. What begins as a serial murder case soon turns into much more for him when DCI Crawford introduces him to Dr Hannibal Lecter, a mysterious enigma of a man, and requires that they work together. Will distrusts him, believing him of something much more sinister. But if Hannibal really is who Will thinks he is, why can't he help but feel drawn to him?
