Summary
The first time it happens a part of Lan Wangji dies. At very least he must be in the process of dying because there is no other explanation for the way his heart tries to beat out of his ribcage like a trapped hummingbird. His hands go clammy, and his vision is sort of fuzzy around the edges like somebody turned on the vignette filter on a photo editing app. The only logical conclusion is that Lan Wangji is in fact dying.

Summary
If it were possible for a person in the world to be completely good, then that person would probably look a lot like Lan Sizhui. Jin Ling hadn’t thought it possible to be so polite or kind or beautiful. That sounded like something out of a myth, a children’s tale parents told their kids and or a fantasy teachers told their students. Something too good to be real.
But Sizhui? Sizhui is good and real and Jin Ling loves him. Sizhui is serenity, is blue on white, clean sleeves and kind smiles. Sizhui holds a fist over his mouth when he laughs (really laughs, not just the nervous sound he makes when he stops Jingyi from punching him—and Sizhui always stops him) and sometimes his eyes will sparkle when he looks at Jin Ling. Mostly in apology, because of something someone’s done again, but also with kindness. Sizhui has kind eyes, warm eyes, eyes that sing to you and tell you you are loved.
Jin Ling wants him to smile so badly it hurts.

Wei Wuxian didn’t get why Jin Ling felt the need to be so contradictory, and hurtful at times. Despite the appearances, they were friends indeed, mostly thanks to Lan Sizhui’s efforts.
“So. What was that?” Wei Wuxian asked Jiang Cheng. The scene, was, after all, quite common.
His brother let out the longest, weariest, most dramatic sigh he possibly could and knocked back his cup of tea as if it was alcohol.
“That,” he said, slamming the cup back on the table, “is the second coming of Jin Zixuan.”In which Jin Ling inherited his father's romance skills and Wei Wuxian feels compelled to step in and help the kids out (also Jiang Cheng asked him to).

Summary
After Feng Xin accidentally steals his first kiss on New Year's Eve, Mu Qing finds himself handing over all of his other firsts to Feng Xin, too. It doesn't mean anything, they're barely even friends. He just needs to get this newfound and distracting desire to touch Feng Xin out of his system once and for all. Or twice... or several times that Mu Qing certainly isn't counting.
