There was no cat fur covering his pants, and the scratches Morgana had left on the porcelain sink the time Ryuji had shoved him off of it were gone as if they had never existed. The small tin of hair ties that Ann had left in the cabinet was gone. He had used his old red toothbrush this morning; the one that Futaba had dropped in the toilet after he had teased her a bit more than usual. When he had ambled down the stairs, exhausted and his head spinning, Sojiro had met his eyes with the stare of a stranger.

Summary
Being banned from any Metaverse related business until his wounds finished healing was practically torture for Akira, more-so than the actual torture he'd sat through during his 'interrogation'.
The ban -along with his current "dead" status- left the boy with more free time than he ever wanted.
The boss trying to keep him quarantined to his room so he couldn't 'manage to get himself beaten half to death again' certainly wasn't helping either.
-and let's be honest here, you cand only make so many lock picks before having a mental breakdown.

Summary
They were trying out a new cafe as a group, a change of scenery from their usual cafe to celebrate the holiday season and lift everyone's work-ethic (after all, they visited the other cafe so often that it held the same energy as the office itself), so it was supposed to be a bit more fun than sitting around discussing work. That, and it was somewhere for Dazai to start a new tab since they weren’t sure how long the agency's cafe was going to continue letting Dazai get away with not paying his tab.
Atsushi notices something's up, but he doesn't want to ruin the mood.
