Summary
During the time when the snow is pushed up by seals trying to make a home for themselves, two babies are born, separated by nine days. They grow up to be the best of friends, and maybe even more, but it takes them a long time to figure it out.
Or, the one where Suki and Yue move from their childhood home, dwell about the past, experience loss, write songs and watch the moon illuminate their room, but not in that specific order.

By the cliff, in a far off corner in the Ember Islands, there stands a sprawling manor, its empty hallways leading into empty rooms, wooden floors unwalked for decades, left to gather dust and sand, warmed by the sun and soothed by the moon. It stands as it’s done for centuries before, alone and untouched. Windows opened by storms, salt air filling the negative space left by its owners, unbothered.
The tides rise and fall, day after day, and all the while, the Royal Holiday House sleeps, alone and untouched, and thus, it dreams.

or, a year after the war, Zuko brings everyone back to his beach house in Ember Island. Half a century later, Mako is dragged into exploring a haunted house by the beach.
Two days, two sets of people. They're still too young for what they had to do.

Summary
Chief Arnook had always coddled Yue since her precarious start to life. He tiptoed around her like she was a fragile children’s toy, and if Yue had found it insufferable during her teenage years then she had no idea how bad it would get after that night at the Spirit Oasis. Her father realised that Yue wasn’t as safe as he’d hoped here, that if a single teenage boy could swim into their ranks without conflict, then what was stopping Yue from being hurt again?
Changes were made, the Kyoshi Warriors were moved to the Northern Water Tribe, and she lost the last bit of freedom she had left.
Yue thought the Head of the Kyoshi Warriors was rude and invasive. Suki thought the princess was arrogant and stiff.
And then one day, Yue found a poem on her bed.

“Fushiguro, check this out!” Megumi turned at the sound of his roommate's voice, Yuji’s phone thrust unceremoniously under his chin. “We’ve got a real life superhero in the neighbourhood!”
Megumi stared as Yuji’s cracked screen reflected back at him a figure of a man swinging against the backdrop of a familiar street, traipsing through the air with impressive effortlessness and ease. Eyes flicking up, he could see Yuji’s gaze filled with awe and an open mouth. He sighed, scratching the back of his neck thoughtlessly.
“The spandex looks stupid.”
