Summary
30 years after the takedown of the Union, a lonely and lost Park Humin tries starting over in a small seaside town. When he arrives, he sees Na Baekjin working at a bar, no longer the person he remembers but instead a cherished member of the community. Reawakened grief and resurfaced guilt plague them both as they grapple with their past and what it could mean for their future.
The ghost of Na Baekjin smiles at people, serves drinks, and counts up cash from the register. A little girl runs over to him and he picks her up, carries her under one arm as he continues working. She rests her head on his shoulder. It can't possibly be him.
The Baekjin he remembers is frozen in time at eighteen; He had smiles full of bitter venom, wore suits for no reason and never let himself relax for even a second. His Baekjin was equal parts violence and warmth, as searing as an open flame; he could soothe and he could scar.
This ghost is nothing like that. There are wrinkles around his eyes that show a lifetime of smiles, and the easy way he picks up the girl shows unending patience. Baku feels his whole body become hollow, his stomach lurching at the sight before him.
Na Baekjin is dead. So how is this real?

Okay, so Suho knows it’s not the best line to open up the discussion with, but at this point it’s all he’s got. Because Sieun, gorgeous, perfect, doe-eyed, is sitting on Suho’s bed reading a book, and hasn’t looked at him once in the past hour.
Which, fine. Suho can handle that; he’s used to it. Studies comes first and all that. But it’s the fact that Sieun has been acting like Suho is some ancient relic on loan from a museum, ever since he had woken up.
Or: Suho woke up hungry, and there's only one thing he wants.

A small blanket in her arms, Baekyi calmly approached Baku. He turned his head, his eyes almost directly falling on the soft material. Pinkish hues coloured his cheeks as he realised what this meant, what Baekyi had planned. His whole body warmed up as a wave of comfort washed over him. Of course, he thought. Nothing could escape his girlfriend’s clever eyes. Her attention to detail, especially when it came to him, was unmatched. Sometimes, Baku would feel bad for being silent, for letting Baekyi figure out how he was feeling.
But Baekyi didn’t need to. She just sensed it, felt it deep in her core. As if some part of her heart was Baku’s.
Then again, maybe it was.

A story about healing in small increments, falling in love with ordinary moments, and discovering that sometimes the best way to build a future is one convenience store shift at a time.

“Will you be good? Will you obey me?” His arms loosened, one of his hands went down to the back of Suho’s neck again, lightly scratching the skin there, like a hidden affection.
Suho whimpered, pushing his face further into Sieun's soft abdomen. He nuzzled his nose into the curve of his covered belly button and finally grabbed his ass.
Sieun gasped.
“Please…” Suho’s voice was muffled, Sieun felt his lips move over the fabric. “Please, I promise, I'll be—I'll be a good boy, I'll do whatever you want, baby, hyungie, please.”
Where bully Ahn Suho is feared. No one can look him in the eye. No one is crazy enough to dare.
