She gives him a thin smile. “All the practice from having to contend with you, I think.”
“You can contend with me in other ways,” he says, and by now they’ve made a somewhat pitiful effort in walking to the apparition point. She pretends the arm Malfoy has slung across her waist doesn’t feel warm and comforting, and looks away when she feels his silver gaze on her.
