Summary
Carlton—the one Mike imagines—is a journalism major. He loves Back to The Future, and pretty much anything sci-fi. Growing up, he was a middle child, which left him starved for attention, and therefore the ability to stick his nose in all sorts of places it didn't belong. That's where he discovered his love of journalism: at only 12 years old he broke a major case in his small hometown. Mike's not 100% sure what it was—a mayor corruption cover-up, maybe? He's outgoing, and he pushes Will out of his comfort zone. If there's one thing Mike knows about Will, it's that he needs that. He's never tried DnD, but he's willing to. Maybe, if they're together for long time, he'll join the party for a session. Will isn't with him for his looks, but he's pretty handsome. Scruffy black hair, thick eyebrows, tall (but not too tall), and lean. When they stand together they just make sense. And he's strong, because he knows it's his job to protect Will. That's his number one priority: making sure Will is happy and cared for.
Will introduces his boyfriend to the party for the first time, and he's nothing like Mike expected. This causes him to crash out. Hard.

Summary
At first, Mike was unsure how to approach him when he got like this. But they’ve been living together for months now, never further than five feet apart in their dorm beds, so Mike’s learned what works and what doesn’t.
It works when he wakes Will like this, with gentle hands and words, telling him he’s safe. It works when he climbs into Will’s warm bed, turning him on his side and curling up against his back, an arm over his waist and his cheek pressed against his shoulder. They lie together like that until Will’s hiccupping gasps soften into steady breaths, until Mike feels him go limp in his arms and he knows he’s fallen back asleep. It always works.
or: Will has nightmares and Mike is the only one who can console him. Not even Will's boyfriend can. Mike takes great pride in this fact.

He doesn’t know why Mike was looking at him like his prey all because he was wearing his shirt. He can wear his boyfriends shirts. Boyfriends do that, right? Right?
“Really?”

“Mike.” Will shifts his attention to the boy they’re talking about who’s talking to the others with his hands in his pockets. “he’s always like tilting his head like a stupid dog. Sort of like a Border Collie.” He can see the resemblance of Mike being a dog. His clinginess around Will always wanting to have skin to skin contact with him at all times

“Yeah..” Will trails off, eyes pinched together in curiousity. “Like a dumb dog.”

Summary
Mike sighed as he moved back to his knees in front of Will. The more clarity Will regained, the more he felt the need to shuffle, to look away, to cover his blushing face. Mike was on his knees in front of him. God, he should not be thinking like this. The proximity didn’t help, nor the fact that Mike’s gaze seemed unable to leave Will’s face for more than ten seconds.
“I’m gonna have to deal with that gash,” He said, and Will huffed.
“I can– I can do it myself, Mike–” He said, making to get up before wincing in pain at the tug on his wounded skin, collapsing back into the chair with a gasp.
“Would you stop that?” Mike urged, voice stern. Will stared back at him.
“Stop what?”
“Trying to– I don’t know, play this off. Act like I shouldn’t care,”
“You shouldn’t care, Mike. I’m fine, it’ll heal.”
“I know that, Will. I know you can look after yourself if you need to. But you don’t. I’m here, just— just let me help you,”
Will met Mike’s pleading gaze and caved in a matter of moments.________________
Or, Will gets in a fight. Mike patches him up.

Summary
“You know, James Loyd has been asking around about you,” Lucas, not tearing his gaze from across the room, says to Will who was chatting away with Dustin. Mike's eyes looked up without moving his head from the book that was filled with his band's music. Mike too had heard James ask around about Will but he chose to remain quiet.
Will spoons a mouthful of pudding, “What about?” he asked. Lucas shrugs, “Maybe he likes you,” he winks, “like that poor Chance, who asked for a chance but didn’t get any,” Dustin beside Lucas laughed, flustered, Will flicks a couple of beans at Lucas.
Or: a jock shows interest in Will but is confused as to why Mike wheeler who is in a relationship already is so close and touchy with his best friend all the time, his friends just tells him that's how they are, but Mikes behavior says otherwise, he is scared to make a move on his crush, Mike is too possessive to let anything happen.

Will was leaned up against the wall, flannel untucked from his pants and unbuttoned all the way. His hair, which had grown out of its signature bowlcut and into something more similar to Mike’s own haircut, was sticking up wildly like hands had run through it. And hands had. Hands belonging to the man pushing Will up against said wall in their walkway, who had stopped what he was doing and looked at Mike with wide eyes as soon as the front door opened.

It's like Will's body moves before he can even process what he’s moving to, like his senses know when he’s near and pull him there before he can realize what he’s doing. His former well gripped want is bleeding though his fingers. He feels as if everyone can see it in the way he blinks, can smell the desire pooling out of his pores.
“—definitely overreacting, I mean, he’s as oblivious as they come!” Robin’s voice cuts through his thoughts.
“I don't know... I think even Steve could have picked up on what was going on in my head,” he squeezes his eyes shut at the onslaught of aftershock anxiety rushing back at the memory.
“I whimpered, Robin!” he pulls his hands to cover his face, to try to ground himself.
“You’re probably right... Steve could have picked up on what was going on,” she’s facing him on the couch, her knees leaning further to press up against his legs as she moves further into his space. “But Mike wouldn’t know sexual electricity if it was shooting from his own dick.”
OR: Will's been in love with Mike Wheeler since before he can remember, it was bound to slip out at some point.
