When Dennis exchanged numbers with Ogilvie at the end of his rotation, he wasn't expecting much. Perhaps a message here, a meme there, maybe give him some helpful advice for residency applications and interview tips. An accidental phone call and several supportive messages later, Dennis finds himself intrigued to know who Ogilvie is beyond the bravado, especially when he learns the man is moving back to Pittsburgh.
Perhaps this will be his chance to make a new friend (or maybe, something more).

The last time Dennis had a conversation with Robby before the day they tumbled down a bridge together was a little over a year ago. It was minutes before dawn. The hallway light was just bright enough to illuminate the horror in the older man’s eyes.
“I’m sorry,” he said to Dennis, choking on the words and rubbing a palm over his eyes. His chest was heaving with breaths as if he'd just witnessed the end of the world instead of holding Dennis naked in his arms.

Summary
