Summary
Jack curled deeper in on himself, breaths hitching as he wept harder. He felt gross, he wasn’t supposed to cry, he was supposed to be a Big Man, the Jack-fucking-Manifold, Thunder. But here he was, sobbing in the arms of someone who may not care about him, but who he cares about, so fucking much.

Summary
Waking up after death is not so terrible, well after you grapple with the fact that there is life after death, but after that it's kind of more a matter of rolling with the punches. Now, waking up and realizing you're a named character in one of the world's favorite pirate adventures, much less the resident coward and sniper with a long nose, things start getting a little complicated.
It had been a little less than a decade since he had last watched One Piece.
He'd do his best not to die...

Summary
Now that Skyfire is back, adjusting to... being alive is a lot harder than he thought, as every new event he's told about smacks him upside the head.
Even his own frame has changed in his absence.
At least he has Starscream there to guide him. A very unstable, battered and bruised, but kind of recovering Starscream.
(Previously part of For Real, but I wanted it to stand on its own)

Summary
Avid was sick. He'd been sick for years, his wound baffling every doctor, apothecary, and priest he'd gone to. It shouldn't be a surprise he'd turned to other methods to keep it at bay. Alchemy had been his saving grace, buying him time to keep looking for a cure. Never mind the whispers that claimed magic or the villages he'd had to flee if anyone ever caught wind of his workshop. It wasn't witchcraft, it was science. Probably.
Oakhurst had been his last lead. The land was steeped in legend, vampires and the like coloring its stories. Elle had always spearheaded the monster hunting, working in the field to rid the world of monsters and search for anything vaguely like Avid's own symptoms. A cure was what he needed, and his partner had died for it. He wouldn't let that sacrifice be in vain. Maybe, just maybe, he could kill the vampires that did this to her too.
Or, Avid's a witch and people are just a little more superstitious. This changes some things.

Summary
But then Scott stopped talking, and Pyro quickly followed suit. The nobleman’s nose scrunched up, his now pointier ears (seriously, how had nobody noticed that? He wasn’t crazy! They just refused to look!) twitched. All that Avid could hear was his own heartbeat. He wasn’t breathing, he wasn’t moving. He refused to let out a single sound. He wasn’t ready, not to go against two of them. Maybe if he’d just come across one of them by themselves, he could have… surely if it was Pyro. Scott he was far more afraid of.
“It sounds like we have company”. Following Scott’s words, everything moved in slow motion. The vampire’s head turned, their eyes locked together, and then Avid was running.
He didn’t know where he was going. There was nowhere for him to run. He was far away from town, outside of any proper path, and, most importantly, nobody believed him. Nobody had tried going after him. He had no allies left. Nobody would have known if he had died.
Avid was going to die.
