Shane makes a low noise, his eyes holding a bit of a spark when he looks back to Ilya. It’s what Ilya was hoping for—the tiniest crack in the mask. He can see a hint of exasperated affection around the corners of Shane’s eyes, a little bit of fire burning just beneath the surface. It sends a thrill down Ilya’s spine, and he wonders if Shane will be snarky when Ilya gets him naked tonight.
“That’s not happening,” Shane replies, shaking his head. “Because you’re not winning.”

"Oscar, you've had quite enough." Mark growls, crossing his arms over his chest and glaring at the younger man.
“Have I? I think I can drink as much as I want. You aren’t my Dad." Oscar sneers, emphasizing the last word and holding his glass out in a toast before downing the contents.
Mark grits his teeth, the anger rising in his chest. "No, but I am your manager. Now get up, we are leaving,” he says firmly, grabbing the younger man by the back of his neck and yanking him up.
Oscar stumbles slightly, his eyes going wide at the sudden display of authority. Mark doesn’t give him a chance to argue, pushing him towards the exit with a firm grip. The two wait outside as Mark calls them an Uber. Oscar keeps stealing glances at the older man but Mark continues to ignore him, not trusting himself not to lose his composure.

"Go home, Max. Take a break. You have done enough for now. Let me handle it," Sebastian assured him.
Max reluctantly nodded. "Okay, call me if anything happens,"
"Of course. Rest well,"
Max drove home, his thoughts swirling. He wasn't sure why, but he felt connected to the Omega. Maybe it was the fact that they were the same age, or maybe it was his concern for the baby, but he couldn't shake the feeling that he needed to help him.
