Senku laughed it off, trying to escape Gen’s sticky claws of mental trickery, “I’m plenty satisfied, I get to see him every day.”
Gen’s eyes widened, “Oh my… is it Chrome?” He whispered, knowing that he was sleeping just below them in his hut.
Senku snorted, followed by genuine laughter. “What the hell happened to you, mentalist?! I thought you were smart enough to figure it out by now.”
Gen pouted, “It’s not my fault you’re like, impossible to read! It’s a whole different psychology trying to read your thoughts-” His bickering died down as his thinking caught up to his mouth. His eyebrows furrowed together, “...You’re azy-cray.” He expressed.

“Luka…? Hey… are you okay?” It was a warm, almost hot hand caressing the black curly hairs that hung over his face. Its palm was placed on his forehead, feeling for a fever. It was a little warm, still well below human temperatures, but concerning for a vampire like him.
There was a soft nod as Luka opened his eyes to meet with Trey’s concerned ones. He had ended up on his back, staring as emotions came crawling up unintendedly. “I’m… fine. Just a little tired.” Forcing out a smile, he watched Trey’s expression soften while a thumb wiped over Luka’s cheek.

"I have a confession to make." He pulled his ankles closer to his body, sitting cross-legged towards the dusk of the sun. "My name is Jamil Viper, seventeen years old. Two months ago, I had overblotted due to my spite of Kalim Al-asim. By now, everything is resolved. We have returned to normal, where nothing has ever been different from how it was before my plan was set in motion.
The rage I held, naturally, hasn’t died one bit either. Though that was to be expected, as I have gotten stuck in the same place I was before."
His eyes traced Kalim, who was diving down with his carpet, skillfully swaying from side to side, almost dancing.
"There is no more scheming, no more intricate plans to overthrow and take power, only prayer. Prayer on the tiniest accidents with the biggest consequences. They help me cope, making sure I won’t do anything crazy, so surely they must be helpful. Just making up scenarios, calms me, like if sadism was a drug."

That Vil was a lonely child, Zel knew. Even so, it was rare to see her talk about it, moreover with a soft smile on her face. She wanted to let Zel in, show bits of her past she would never share with anyone. Zel felt honoured for it, glad to see the comfort in this display of vulnerability.

Summary
It wasn’t too uncommon for Jyushi to take refuge in the lawyers apartment overnight, although it did occur more often when he was younger. Before Hitoya had come to his rescue as a kid he didn’t really have anyone who he could trust to support him, so when someone he could rely on finally stepped into his life, he ran at the opportunity. He was desperate back then. But he still dropped by occasionally, simply because he liked Hitoya’s company… and the lawyer was always too kind to refuse— just like he was too proud to admit he liked Jyushi’s company too.
