Summary
Jungwon moves to pull out the axe and Jay's eyes rake over him. The serenity isn't an affectation. There's a slight tremor in his legs but it must be adrenaline more than anything else. His face is cool, relaxed. There's nothing in his face to indicate he's scared or apprehensive. He looks perfectly in his element.
Not for the first time, Jay gets the sense that he and Jungwon are two worlds apart. What is new is the sense of danger.
Or: Somewhere between Seoul and Busan, Jay and Jungwon find each other.

“The pressure at the back of his neck was sharper tonight, chilling droplets of sweat cumulating on his skin faster than a windstorm. It wasn’t just a whisper of unease, but something real and tangible, something that crawled down his spine with ice-cold fingers, sinking, settling, watching.
Jay didn’t move.
Didn’t bolt upright. Didn’t throw the covers off or flick the lights on no matter how much he wished to. Instead, he just let his fingers curl into the sheets, let his lashes flutter, let his breath even out as if he was still teetering on the edge of sleep.
And then, carefully, so carefully, his gaze slid across the room.
And he saw him.
A figure at the edge of his bed.
Unnaturally still. Silent. Watching.”

“Nice!” Sunghoon reads the notification, “Yang Jungwon’s throwing a party on Friday to celebrate the end of exams.”
Jake crooks an eyebrow, “A party?”
“Yeah?” Sunghoon mirrors him.
“Like a real party? Drinks and dancing and everything?”
Sunghoon shrugs, confused by Jake’s confusion. “I guess so. What, do they not have those where you’re from?” He teases.
Jake pretends to be engrossed in his review guide to hide his surprise. Christians are so weird to him sometimes. Apparently they’ll drink underage and he knows half the kids in the youth group are hooking up, but God forbid two boys kiss.
