Jungwon blinks, shaking his head. “What? No, I can pick something else. And I’ll feel bad if I take it.”
He chuckled, the sound doing wonders to his heart. “Seriously, it’s fine. It’s not a big deal. Enjoy the rest of your night, pretty boy.”
In which, Jungwon moved to Tokyo after being caught for illegal street racing. It was either going to jail or moving abroad to redeem himself. When he ends up meeting Nishimura Riki, who shows him the hidden side of Tokyo, Jungwon was drawn into it and his passion for racing was brought back to life.

Summary
Jungwon moves to pull out the axe and Jay's eyes rake over him. The serenity isn't an affectation. There's a slight tremor in his legs but it must be adrenaline more than anything else. His face is cool, relaxed. There's nothing in his face to indicate he's scared or apprehensive. He looks perfectly in his element.
Not for the first time, Jay gets the sense that he and Jungwon are two worlds apart. What is new is the sense of danger.
Or: Somewhere between Seoul and Busan, Jay and Jungwon find each other.

Jay had spent his whole life seeing good and bad as two polar opposites. Helping elders on the street? Good. Letting a classmate cheat on an exam? Unforgivable. As he grew older, the lines blurred —but his core values never changed.
Growing up in a strict Catholic household wasn’t as harsh as one might expect. His parents were the cool kind of strict—firm but fair. Still, the rules of the world stayed the same.
However, the idol world was as complex as it seemed, but Jay didn’t realize that fact until he debuted. Fanservice, flawless visuals, and no room for human mistakes. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good either. Despite everything, it was his job —and Jay loved his job. Singing, dancing, his group members. Everything fits him perfectly.
Even Jungwon. Especially Jungwon.
Jungwon was uniquely perfect, even for him. Jungwon, who knew him better than he knew himself. Jungwon, the young and cute leader. From the beginning, Jungwon had been overwhelming. To Jay, he was everything. And that terrified him.

"It's not your fault," he manages, squeezing Jungwon's shoulder in an attempt at comforting him. "Not at all. Please don't apologise to me for something that's out of your control. I mean, come on, it's a fucking curse because apparently those exist now. There's nothing you could do."
"I guess." He's still not making eye contact with Jay. "I'm just sorry that you've been dragged into this mess." He snorts humourlessly. "And now you're gonna have to be attached to me for literal months."
"It won't be so bad," Jay says, shocked to find that he means it. "Considering," he puts on a brave face, "considering it's us, right?"
Jungwon looks up at that, face set in wariness. "Yeah," he says slowly, eyes scanning Jay's face. "Yeah, considering it's us."
Or: Jay quickly learns that there are worse things than being curse-bonded to your bandmate.

Sunghoon is pretty sure he’s dreaming.
The man’s face is everywhere. On his walls, on his desk, cluttered in the free spaces of his bookshelf and—more importantly—right in front of him. His intense gaze is fixated on Sunghoon’s, most likely so he can pretend he doesn’t see the seemingly limitless bounds of his obsession, and Sunghoon can’t bring himself to hold eye contact with him.
Sure, he’s dreamt of moments like this. Just one chance to personally talk to the man standing in front of him and tell him just how much he admires him for his art, his passion, his relentless drive to strive for his dream.
But not like this.
“Isn’t that every stan’s dream?” he continues, teasing him, baby talking him, “To say just once that their idol is their boyfriend?”

Jake crooks an eyebrow, “A party?”
“Yeah?” Sunghoon mirrors him.
“Like a real party? Drinks and dancing and everything?”
Sunghoon shrugs, confused by Jake’s confusion. “I guess so. What, do they not have those where you’re from?” He teases.
Jake pretends to be engrossed in his review guide to hide his surprise. Christians are so weird to him sometimes. Apparently they’ll drink underage and he knows half the kids in the youth group are hooking up, but God forbid two boys kiss.

Summary
There’s a moment, a brief, terrifying moment, where Sunghoon is just hovering over Jake, looking down at him with a small smile on his face, and he’s actually a little concerned that he really is going to kiss him. And then the moment passes, and Jake feels – weird. That familiar, aimless fear settles over him again, but despite it, a small part of him kind of wishes Sunghoon had accepted his offer. Now, he’ll always be curious about what would have happened if he did.
But in the end, he just does what he always does, and shoves it down to the depths of his subconscious, where there was too much pressure for anything to breathe, to survive.
He doesn’t actually want to kiss Sunghoon, he knows that. Jake has no problems with Sunghoon being gay, but he isn’t gay. He’s probably just feeling a little weird, a little scared, and it’s probably just because of the slight distance he’s been feeling between them lately. Jake has acted much stranger over much less, after all.
