Sakuya, unfazed and smiling like he’d just invented the cure for heartbreak, proudly presented the dish. “I tried the new recipe myself!”
Sion’s eyes twitched. “You mean the recipe I told you not to touch until I was there?”
Sakuya only grinned wider, sliding the plate between them. “Think of it as a surprise!”
“I think of it as a fire hazard,” Sion muttered, but there was a faint hint of amusement in his voice—relief, even. Sakuya’s timing, as always, was unintentionally perfect.

Sakuya scratched the back of his neck, his smile faltering under Riku’s glare. “Oh, did I forget to mention? It’s a Truth or Drink video,” he said, his tone light but tinged with nervousness.

Riku found himself noticing Daeyoung more often. At meals in the Great Hall, in the corridors between classes, out on the grounds with his friends. Daeyoung was like the sun—bright, warm, and impossible to ignore. And Riku? Riku was the moon, quiet and distant, content to admire the sun from afar.
He didn’t know when it had started, but at some point, he began to feel a tug in his chest every time he saw Daeyoung. It wasn’t the kind of pull he could explain, nor was it something he felt ready to confront. Because someone like Daeyoung deserved to be surrounded by people who could match his light.
And Riku... well, Riku would be content just to watch.
