The doctor’s eyes flickered from Eddie to Buck before settling on Eddie,
“You can, but I’m afraid while he’s in the PICU, visitors are limited to immediate family.”Buck opened his mouth to say something, but Eddie was faster, spitting, “That’s bullshit, he’s—”
“Eddie, hey,” Buck said, squeezing Eddie’s wrist. “It’s okay, it’s alright. Just go be with him, okay?”
Eddie looked torn for a moment, mouth twisted in a frown. Buck pushed him gently towards the doctor and Eddie nodded, turning to go. Buck gave him a supportive smile that fell the second Eddie and the doctor were gone, the heavy ER door closing behind them with a loud click. His shoulders slumped and he buried his face in his hands, collapsing in on himself like a puppet with its strings cut.

Summary
All Eddie could smell was Buck. He knew Buck had just come back for a run, and the smell of his sweat hit Eddie almost like a storm front blowing over the desert. He could smell his own laundry detergent, Buck had obviously been washing his clothes here with the Tide Free and Clear that Eddie used, and even though it was fragrance free there was always a hint of clean soap about it. But over that was Buck’s own scent. Thick and masculine, salty with sweat and the citrus of the deodorant Eddie knew crusted in his pit hair. It was so shockingly different from the perfume Marisol had worn, lilac and white pine needles.
Eddie swallowed and the smell only got stronger, filling up his entire existence with just Buck for a moment and Eddie had the overwhelming urge to turn his head and press his nose to Buck’s sweaty skin.

Eddie is injured on a call and left blinded. Buck immediately volunteers to move into the Diaz house and help Eddie out. Surely this will be a normal few weeks and Eddie's heightened senses will reveal nothing about how intertwined he and Buck are, right?(written for the 911 Gotcha for Gaza)

The strange thing is that Barton ought to be an unremarkable man. He has no superpowers, no enhancements, no complicated vengeful backstory, or at least not one that was mentioned in his file. What he seems to have - helping his neighbour upstairs with her groceries, or stopping a mugger, or fighting against Doombots with the Avengers and putting himself at unacceptable risk - is an unshakeable loyalty and a dented moral compass that nonetheless always points him right.
It's intriguing. Confusing. Fascinating in ways that the Soldier has no idea how to explain.
So instead he reports back on the harmless details; the dog, the range, the dull gold ring on the fourth finger of Barton's left hand.

Bucky and Clint have been renting this little Cape Cod-style home for almost two months, and the lines between the truth and the story are starting to get just a little bit blurry. Clint’s never imagined something like this for himself, the house with the painted shutters and the two car garage and the flowerbeds out front. Last weekend, Clint sat on the counter and watched as his husband thumbed through a battered copy of the Joy of Cooking and then proceeded to make a casserole for them to bring to the neighborhood block party. He was never supposed to end up here. It’s just a fantasy, a tantalizing glimpse into a world he’ll never actually be a part of, and he wonders how bad of an idea it is for him to indulge and enjoy it while it lasts.
