*Is this really what you’re gonna do? Not even you are so pathetic, right?* 'Shut up.’ *This will be the last straw Mr. Stark needs to finally fucking leave you. You know that, right, loser?* ‘Shut up…’ *Have you ever even tried not to be a fuck-up? Think you can be Spider-Man like this? This weak? Did you ever even stop to think how lucky you are that someone like Mr. Stark would even bat an eye at you, let alone mentor your lazy ass?* ‘Please shut up…’ *You know how much of a burden you are to all of them, right? If she screams at you, then that’s because you fucking deserve it for making it everyone’s problem that you let her die!* ‘SHUT UP’
Peter takes the sewing needle and scratches it over his right shoulder.

After losing Aunt May, Peter Parker has spent years cycling through foster homes. His current placement isn’t the worst, but the emotional neglect and constant verbal abuse are slowly chipping away at what’s left of him.
This is a character study of trauma, self-harm, and the voice in your head that never stops telling you you’re not enough with eventual comfort and healing.
⚠️ Heavy emotional themes, self-harm, intrusive thoughts.

Summary
“…Peter?”
He finally looked up. It was Mr. Stark. Mr. Stark was here, and Pepper was here. Tears suddenly began welling up in his eyes. Someone came for him…
“M-Mr. Stark…” Peter cried. He practically fell out of his chair as he reached out to grab ahold of Tony, wrapping his arms around his neck.
And there, on the ER waiting room floor Tony sat with a young boy in his arms, rocking him back and forth.
“I know, kid…I know.”~~~
After Aunt May is murdered, Peter goes to live with Tony and Pepper. No matter how hard Tony and Pepper try to help Peter, it doesn't work. Not only is Peter fighting inner demons, trying to cope with losing his aunt and thus the last remaining family he had, he also gets bit by a radioactive spider. The stress is too much and he resorts to getting high with his friends. He can't stop himself, how else is he supposed to cope? A drug addiction is the least of his worries, he's just trying to survive.
Will Peter's self destructive behavior lead to his end, or a new beginning?
