This fic was started roughly around the release of CH289 and nine months before Blue Lock Full Color Selection 3. A significant amount of Kaiser’s backstory was not available at that time. The author continued with her own worldbuilding, so please plan accordingly.
For reference, House of Leaves is about 200,000 words (no one actually knows because House of Leaves). Dune is 190,000 with the appendixes. You could read both of those books, or one of them twice, or you could read Happy Up Here. Choose wisely!
And don’t try to finish the whole thing in one sitting. You’ll hurt yourself.

His legs are aching, they feel like they are about to collapse with exertion and yet he pushes on, willing himself to be faster as he flees through the dirty alleyways, zig-zagging this way and that with no comprehension of where he's going. This city is entirely new to him and he is flying blind.
The footsteps behind him are drawing ever closer. The boy doesn't dare to look behind him, for fear of what he knows is looming in the darkness: the large hulking shapes, the glint of sharpened steel, the putrid scent of death.

RELATIONSHIPS: Scott is dating Jean at the beginning of this fic. He and Logan become involved later. Scott's past relationship with Sabretooth is strictly non-consensual.
WARNINGS: In this and later chapters there are references to past underage rape (of Scott on the Island); Scott is also raped during the course of this fic. Scott is also physically abused more than once during the course of the story. Logan doesn't have a very nice time either. -
