Abigail, now renamed Alix Kubdel in the present day, grew up never knowing her father’s true identity. Until now, when she is in the firing line. For Sabretooth has learnt of her existence and plans to end her, if only because he knows it’ll upset Logan. And it doesn’t help that Alix is not the only mutant in the City of Love…

Steve had to stall. He clearly couldn’t take on this Thanos in a fight—not that he knew if he would have to yet—so he would have to hope for something else. Maybe he could outsmart him or, even better, reason with him. “You could have gone to Stark.”
Thanos chuckled. There wasn’t a trace of fat on his body, his size came from sheer muscle mass, but his chest vibrated slightly as he laughed—not so much as a jiggle from his pectorals as they moved. “The Iron Man, yes, he in particular interests me. But he has shown hostility to aliens before and, I must confess,” Thanos made direct eye contact, “I had my heart set on you.”
With all six Infinity stones, Thanos is in need of agents to do his bidding. Why not use the stones to turn some enemies into allies? The Avengers have proven themselves formidable, so why not make them work for him? He can do whatever he likes with them and that power can be corrupting!

Movement in the mirror warned Victor a second too late. Six silver knives burst several inches out of his chest as Logan stabbed him through the driver seat.
Victor snarled unintelligibly and struggled to keep the jeep on the road, pressing down harder on the pedal. They needed more distance before he could deal with this.
Three blades retreated and returned a few seconds later, cutting through Victor's shoulder with ease. His vision blurred from blood loss and the wheels slid off the road, smashing through bushes and thin spindly trees until a boulder crumpled in the front of the vehicle and sent Victor crashing through the windshield.
Logan ripped his claws free from the seat and cut his way out of the jeep, mad with fear and whatever chemicals they'd been flooding him with.
"Jimmy," Victor groaned into the dirt, struggling to push himself up on broken arms. "You are makin' it real difficult to rescue you!"
