Anakin, in a fit of bravery uncharacteristic even for the Hero With No Fear, decides that he should tell the Council about his secret marriage, so that no Sith could ever use it against him to hurt the Jedi Order or the Republic.
It goes swimmingly--if you ignore the fact that Anakin definitely meant to say that he married Padmé in the wake of Geonosis, and yet the entire Jedi Council seems to think he married Obi-Wan.
And also if you ignore the fact that now no one believes them when they tell them flat out that Anakin is married to and in love with Padmé, not his old master.
And also if you also ignore the fact that Anakin doesn't know how to ignore the fact that being in love with Obi-Wan sort of makes a lot of sense. In fact, it feels like the only thing that's made sense in the last four years, come to think of it.

They don’t seem to mind that he’s quiet, or that his additions to the conversation are stilted, censoring everything he can’t say about himself and his life. They don’t push him when he evades personal questions. They fill his awkward silences with jokes and banter with each other. They listen whenever he finds something to say.
He can’t tell whether he’s pretending to be Wik or pretending to be Kim, or something else entirely.
It’s…nice.

Vegas halts. The smoke in his lungs burns, but he lets it sit there, curious to see what the man will do. He can see his face clearly like this, his doe eyes blinking up with curiosity, arms flying to his back as his back straightens like he knows exactly who Vegas is.
He can’t help it, he smirks down at the man, his instinctual obedience almost endearing. He expects him to look away, bow his head, and avoid eye contact like most people do. Instead, the man quirks an eyebrow at him and smiles. It takes Vegas a few seconds to realize it’s happening and as soon as he does his own smile widens.
Vegas straightens up and crushes the burnt-out cigarette out on the fence. With one last look at the dimples that seem to be almost mocking him he decides to change his sentence - live.
