Taehyung couldn't sleep.
It was nothing unusual - he barely ever fell asleep within the first few hours of going to bed, always staying up to the ungodly hours of morning when the birds started to sing and the sun began to rise, shining in through the gaps between the curtains. All too often he heard the first train pass nearby, the muffled sound of the tracks signalling that it was already 4:05 a.m. and that he had once again laid sleepless for hours, staring into the darkness of his closed eyelids, seeing how the room progressively got brighter as daytime approached. The sheep he counted wasn't in their tens, not even in their hundreds, but rather the thousands that jumped over his mental fence as he counted down the numbers before he'd hopefully pass out in the end.
He usually never did end up asleep, but it was still worth a shot, wasn't it?
