So, when the first firework went off, Peter wasn't expecting it. He really wishes he thought about exactly what fireworks were and how much they would hurt.
Clint slapped Peter on the back as they watched the flame get closer to the end. Peter watched the flames dance over the purples and pinks before it exploded colorfully in the air. That made him realize why Mr. Stark had been staring at him earlier that day, almost dumbfounded.
Peter felt the fireworks boom in the sky, bright lights flashing over his crunched-together eye lids. His knees suck into the hard dirt as his whole body trembled from the stimulation.
Clint dropped next to him and put his big hands over Peter's. "Kid?" He said, concern laced his tone.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath through his nose.
“If you’re gonna do it, Parker, just do it,” he muttered, grabbing the doorknob and turning, pushing the door open gently and quietly.
Immediately upon entering he felt the anxiety begin to flee his body at the sound of the light snoring and steady breathing from the other man in the bed. He gently shut the door behind him and took a couple steps forward so he was hovering at the foot of the large bed.

“Somebody like you?” Sasaki says. He wraps his other hand around Miyano’s, rubbing his thumb in slow circles across his skin. “Somebody who puts everyone around him first? Somebody who’s constantly going out of his way to help strangers?” Miyano softens into his touch, and he tightens his hold. “Somebody who lends me the coolest manga and CDs? Somebody who believes in me and makes me feel like I can do anything? Somebody who leaves class to walk me home, even when I’m sick and sniveling all over the place, just to make sure I get there safe?”
Sasaki can't ignore his feelings anymore, even if Miyano doesn't think he's good enough to be with him. If only he could see himself through Sasaki's eyes, he'd understand how incredible he truly is.

"Hey," Uenoyama spits, throwing his current guitar pick at Akihiko's head. It soars through the air, its sleek glossy red finish catching the fluorescent lights overhead before it pings off Akihiko's shoulder. The other man doesn't even bother trying to dodge it, just arches his eyebrows and grins, just a little. "I didn't come up with this alone! Mafuyu, tell him!"
"The bit before where the chorus goes is based off the riffs Haruki was warming up with that last week." Mafuyu also adds, "he let me pick out the chords for the opening too. Does that count?"
"Congratulations," Akihiko says dryly, ignoring Mafuyu's statement completely, "you've made him even cockier than he already was."
"He has not," Uenoyama shouts, the pitch of his voice climbing an octave, loud enough to make Haruki wince.
Mafuyu gives Akihiko the same smile that always makes Hiiragi snarl about how he's a little shit and answers, "that's okay, I like it when he's cocky."
Uenoyama makes a noise that is only barely within the range of human hearing, carefully lifts his guitar from over his head to drop it in a guitar stand, and then drops on the ground to curl up in a ball.
