“Yours?” Niall asked. “Harry, that thing is a death trap.”
"Well what else can I do?"
"I mean, you could borrow Robin's BMW..."
"Niall, there's no way in hell! He'll kill me if anything happens to that car!"
“But you’re doing it, aren’t you?”
Harry sighed, and a moment later he said, “Yeah, because you’re an awful friend and a bad influence.”

Harry dropped his suitcase by the door and walked over to the couch.
“Don’t get comfortable!” Louis said.
“Lou, I’m exhausted from the flight home,” Harry said. “Why can’t I get comfortable?”
“Because we need to unpack our suitcases.”
“Right now? Why?”
“You know why.”
Louis loved his fiancé, but Harry’s worst trait by far was his procrastination, and that absolutely applied to unpacking his bags after getting back from, well, anywhere.
If Harry didn't unpack now, the bag would sit there forever. Or, until Louis unpacked it for him. And he wasn't doing that. Not again.

Niall stood there, taking it all in before asking, “Guys, what the actual fuck is going on?”
“We’re celebrating!” Harry answered.
“Celebrating what?”
“That we all finally understand our sexualities. It sucks and it’s confusing and as much as we wish we could just be labeled with it at birth, so we wouldn't have to spend ages figuring it all out, that’s not how it works. So we’re celebrating the fact that we understand ourselves... Finally.”

He knows he’s not recalling something important, a lot of things that are important. But he wants to know what they are so incredibly badly… wants to know why his heart is set ablaze, warm and fluttering, every time Louis looks at him.

Harry blinks once. And blinks again. And says, his voice dangerous: “Niall, did you get me a mail-order bride?”
Because what the actual fuck. It kind of looks like Niall’s just purchased a person. For Harry.
Niall blinks back at him for a few moments, before throwing his head back and howling with laughter. Harry throws a pillow at him. Hard. “No, what the fuck, Harry.”
“A prostitute then?” Harry also doesn't want a prostitute.
“Of course not!”
“A stripper?”
“No!”
Damn, he’s running out of ideas. He settles for launching another pillow at Niall’s head. Niall bats it away easily, still laughing. “Stop!”
“What did you get me, then?!” Niall must hear the tinge of hysteria in his voice, because he’s pulling himself together, trying to stop himself from laughing.
There’s still a big grin on his face, though, when he says, “I got you a professional cuddler.”
A professional…what. “What?”

Summary
Sometimes, Harry thinks, there's something there. The spark in his belly isn't just happening to him, surely. Surely Louis feels that rush too, that blossoming heat in his blood when their fingers brush.
But no. No, Louis treats Harry like a best friend—and it's an amazing thing, so wonderful, Harry wouldn't trade his friendship with Louis for anything—and there's no room for anything else. Not between them.
But Louis adores Niall. It’s clear, obvious in their comfort together. Harry and Louis still have something that keeps them from that, something making things more loaded with possibility, more intense. Like magnets with the same pole, an invisible force pushing them back—maybe that’s Harry’s crush, a barrier keeping them apart. Louis and Niall’s friendship is easy, whatever is between Louis and Harry is something else. Weighted.
Which is fine. It's good. Niall clearly loves Louis back, so it's great.
And Harry can just keep lying to himself for the rest of eternity.
Louis and Barbara Tomlinson are twin brother and sister. Harry's in love with Louis, Niall's in love with Barbara, and they both go by Tommo. It gets a little confusing.
