Summary
Dean is a sheriff in a tiny town in Colorado, restless and unsatisfied with his life. It's not like what he's read about in the dime novels since he was little, capturing dangerous outlaws and being the last word of the law. More like tossing the town drunk in a cell to sober up when they get a little too rowdy.
But Dean's chance comes when a thief rolls through their town. He pursues the thief, which puts him right into the path of Emmanuel, a notorious outlaw. Why not bypass humans altogether, and have God set aside empty puppets - soulless, perfect, no consent required, really, why human, or human shaped things at all? Why not have the battle for the fate of the world take place between two hawks, a pine tree and mistletoe, a river and a canyon? Are humans just God's favorite shape?
The Bible says that God made humans in his image - but Dean suspects that this is, like many things in that book - a lie. That God was making shit up by the seat of his proverbial pants, and maybe he looked like a planet, a constellation, or Nothing. What came first, the chicken or the egg - God as the Face of Man or the Face of Man as God?

There’s an archangel in Dean’s head and strangers from another universe in his house. His kid is sick, his mother is young and aloof, and to make matters worse, his best friend is keeping secrets. Again. Only this time, Dean finds out about Castiel's deal with the Empty, and he's got a pretty solid idea about what (or who) might trigger it. Knowing full well Cas must stay miserable to stay alive, Dean makes his move.
This is the way they can have each other. No matter how much it hurts.

To have his warmth as comfort and his hands as a guide that slid over Dean’s skin with familiarity. No more tentativeness, no more skimming the edges and tracing the seams of their story.
Peace. He wanted peace. But with Cas back from the Empty with his memories shredded, and Jack nowhere to be seen, what would peace even look like? And, after everything, was it something Dean deserved?

It’s right at home in Lebanon and seems uncomplicated at face value. However, things unravel when it turns out that investigation is at a dance studio, requiring Dean and Cas to pretend to be a couple and take dancing lessons together.
Takes place in season 14: a story of bad dancing, love, cat adoption, and Dean being a complete himbo. Very loosely based on the Bollywood movie, ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’.

Castiel's resolve falters with the return of his long-ago teenage crush, Dean. The familiar’s evergreen eyes and rainbow aura are still as captivating, but his past is shrouded in mystery, one that could hold the answer to what drove them apart all those years ago.
Maybe the peculiar tabby cat who seems to have taken a liking to Castiel is what it takes to make Castiel believe in the moon with shades of pink again.

Cas wasn't the first to lay his hand on the scar, but neither Anna nor Pamela's touch had elicited a reaction like this. Their hands hadn’t…fit the same way. It was like some kind of fucked up fairytale. Dean wondered which one of them was the Cinderella of this story.
Though, come to think of it, Cas had been the first to put his hand there. It was Cas who branded the mark into his skin in the first place.
Well, fuck. Guess that made Cas Cinderella and Prince Charming all rolled into one. Dean was just the fucking shoe.
It's the end of the world as they know it, and neither Dean nor Castiel are feeling particularly fine. But while the world is still spinning, they have to find a way to keep living in it. The Apocalypse may not seem like the best time to forge a bond, but if some small measure of peace can be found amidst the pain and uncertainty that surrounds them, that can only be a good thing. And maybe, sometimes, good things do happen.
(And will they make out before the world ends? Who's to say?)

“I know what you said,” Cas says, stepping closer ‘til he’s directly in Dean’s orbit. He’s dressed old school tonight: trench, wrinkled slacks, white collared shirt and tie. First time he’d stayed over, Dean had talked him into borrowing some sweats and an old Black Sabbath shirt, but he hasn’t seen either of them since. Cas just keeps showing up like this, all suited up like he’s ready to stop an apocalypse. He’s even got his tie on backwards.
“Smartass,” Dean mutters, and then Cas kisses him, and he stops talking.
(It’s been three months since the world didn't end. Dean is fine with that. Really.)
