Summary
After Hirotsu gives them their offerings, they exchange rings, and Dazai never, not once, breaks eye contact even as they're instructed to kiss. Chuuya expects a wet tongue in his mouth as some sort of demonstration of dominance, so he's surprised when Dazai's hand lifts to cover them both, and the only thing that's pressed to his lips — the corner of them, to be precise — is a dry, fleeting kiss.
And then it's done.
Chuuya is officially, irrevocably married to the one and only head of the mafia.
Or, an AU in which king of the sheep Chuuya has to marry port mafia boss Dazai to get one of his people out of jail.

Never thought that I would enjoy a modern AU so much — I really loved how the author blended the canon characters with the ones they adapted and developed in this piece! The way the author wrote a whole new original story and made it so real and tangible, made me grow to love these characters all over again. The emotional rollercoasters this took me on was worth all the late nights binging it, and I wish I could do it all over again.
It was only after looking up the author, wanting to read more of their works, did I realise that it was the same author who wrote “No Paths Are Bound” in the TGCF fandom — one of my favourite works too! No wonder the story/world-building and characterizations felt so reminiscent of that story, and how drawn in I was to the work was similar as well. I’m glad the author is in a better place now, and I look forward to reading more of their works (no matter the fandom) in the future!
