Summary
The letter was the icing on the cake. After disappearing for all those years, instead of sending a text or calling like a normal person, he sent her a letter. A letter. Who sends letters anymore? Does he just enjoy torturing her?
And yet, in a way, it felt like returning home. It was exactly their dynamic. He always enjoyed being cryptic and vague. His true intentions were a mystery to unravel, likely why he decided to go missing in the first place. And she would never put up with his bullshit. He would prattle on, attempting to get her curious, and she would ignore it, cutting right to the chase. She’s sure he knew that if he did call, it would be spent with her screaming down the phone on where he went.
So yeah, a little ticked off is an understatement.
OrJay is a crazy inventor, always bent over a notebook scribbling something or other about his plans, with wild dreams that he screams only to the sky, and his one love, Nya.
Nya is a kind farmer, wandering around her village giving treats to the kids, feeding the animals and defending her people.
They are each other’s yin and yang, craze and calm. United by their wishes of wanting more.
At least they were, until four years ago Jay disappeared. -

In a city like this rent wasn't cheap. a shocker considering the amount of bullshit that happened regularly. It's what could lead someone to some weird situations. such as living in an apartment with four other people, committing crime from time to time (in honesty the economy was in shambles, what's robbing a bank gonna do?) and lying to said four other people about your side hustle.
except they seem to be lying their side hustles as well.

Summary
The heat of the nether clings to his skin. Breathing feels impossible with the added humidity. Spoke can't breathe, everything closing in all at once. Too many fears run through his head without end.
What if Leo and his spies followed him through the portal? What if he attacks the family while Spoke runs like a coward? What if he fails to protect them like he promised?
He's gasping, choking for air. However, our of all those thoughts, there's one that still remains clear as day. Spoke can't get through this alone.
He's scared, and he isn't quite sure for what. All he knows is that if he stays like this for any longer, he's going to lose his mind.
OR, spoke panics after leo's confrontation and runs to the nether to find mapic. instead, he finds a certain bird.

Working for the government was hard…
And so, there was really only one option!
He had to fake his death.
It was easy really, all he had to do was ask a few of his friends to pretend to betray him for 500 dollars, another one of his friends to pretend to be the one to pay those friends to betray him, a staged kidnapping scene, and a video!
It was honestly one of the easiest things he’d ever done. Compared to some of the missions he’d been on… piece of cake.
There was only so many times you could save the world, or at least your city, before one became tired of it.
...
A beeping sound from his phone.
He frowned.
That specific sound only happened when the security cameras detected someone outside.
Minute picked up his phone, looking at the security app… Jumper could have-
His blood ran cold.
That wasn’t Jumper.
Or Wemmbu, or Clown, or Leo, or anyone else who knew that he was alive.
He didn’t know this person. Or did he?
… He did. But-
