"what were you on about earlier?" frank's voice breaks through his thoughts and peter gives little hmmm of displeasure that he can see the other man smile at for a moment. rude, but peter isn't in the mood to pick a fight about it. "my heartbeat. we never talked about that."

Summary
Everyone has to learn to handle their emotions, even if its exhausting and a hard emotion to control.
Jealousy is by far one of the hardest one to handle for Them, it had always been an issue even in simple day by day life situations. Be it sharing friends with other people or having an animal chose someone over you.
The feeling was always there like a black hole in your stomach, eating you up piece by piece. And sooner or later one will break because of it, no matter how much one tries to deny it.
And seeing the source of the Jealousy multiple times a week was not making it easier, especially not when this source is the Pyro Archon, Mavuika. The Woman that is pure perfection. Skilled at everything and Beautiful as well.
How could one not compare themself to that? Especially when the Captain, the Man of your desires is around her often and seemingly getting along well with her.
Tho due to all the Jealousy that blinds you, you might not see that She is in fact not what he desires.
because his attention? Its completely on you.

Summary
Bits and pieces of the Captain's and the readers undefined relationship out of order on purpose. Can be read as romantic, platonic and etc. There may be parts that lean more one way than the other as I do whatever with the idea. Also covers other relationships with the other Fatui members though some more than others.
