His fluffy hair at the front, clumped pieces at the back where he’d slid his fingers in a mere few minutes before. His pretty green eyes that look hazel or even brown in this light, the dark circles he gets when he drinks framing them like intricate paintings. A satisfied, bloody smile.
Mike isn’t satisfied. He swallows thickly, choking down the words 'don’t you want more?'
Or: Will dresses as a vampire for a college halloween party, but Mike thinks his costume isn’t bloody enough. Will lets him fix it. Mike goes into a crisis.

Shadow Milk tilted his head in what could have been either disbelief or amusement, or both. “Vanilly?”
His long, usually perfectly coiffed hair was a tangled mess, and his robes had gone slightly undone.
Shadow Milk's gaze didn’t stop there. He found Pure Vanilla's face, which was almost hidden behind the cookie's blonde waves.
His face was flushed red, and his eyes looked astonishingly tired.
It was clear to Shadow Milk that the great Pure Vanilla, king of the Vanilla Kingdom, was standing in front of him completely drunk off of witches-know-what.
It was new, interesting, exciting!

A few vases sprinkled here and there, filling the room with a sickeningly sweet scent – even a waffle-cone headrest framing the silken sheets of a neatly-tucked bed. Outside, the golden sun gleams, the gentle rays of light spilling past curtains that waver in the afternoon breeze.
It's meant to be beautiful. Luxurious. Welcoming.

Down a coworker and freshly returned from the mess that was their time in Khura'in, one would think that the remaining lawyers of the Wright Anything Agency might want a break.
And then along comes a case with a suspicious amount of similarities to a classic novel that a lot of people were required to read in high school, and even more familiar faces.
Yeah, that break's not happening. Good thing Phoenix was planning to distract himself with work anyway! Though there's something about this case in particular that might just make him regret that.

“Mm,” Edgeworth agrees, staring at Phoenix with a look he doesn’t quite recognize. Phoenix isn't sure if it’s a symptom of just waking up, but Edgeworth's features have none of the usual tenseness to them. He's all soft edges and relaxed shoulders as he indulges in a plate of strawberry pancakes and a cup of joe.
They eat in comfortable silence. Maya has politely refrained from asking why Edgeworth is joining them for breakfast, and every time Pearls starts to, Maya manages to change the subject.
