Summary
The day he ascended, the skies turned into a dark storm, wind blowing and a low buzz in the air. The ground shook with might that only one other god's ascension could compete with. That god was infamous, so some gods began to feel flickers of unease. What if the new god was just as crazy as the last one? Still, most talked to each other in eager anticipation, curious on who would appear.
Yet no imagination could prepare them for what had lain before them: not a dignified general, beloved prince, nor wise scholar. No– it was someone much more peculiar.
---OR---
Xie Lian takes the resentful souls of Xianle instead of Wuming, causing Wuming to ascend and Xie Lian to become a Calamity.

Summary
The Martial God of Death, Hua Cheng, ascended with little to no memory of his mortal life before godhood. What he did know was that he did it for…Someone. Someone so beloved and so ingrained in his heart that, even when he had lost all memory, he remembered he needed to look for them. Even without knowing who they were.
With his mission in mind, he made an agreement with Heaven to allow him to stay in the mortal realm to look for that Someone.
Except…he seems to have caught the eye of The Scourge of Heaven, the Lord of the Ghost City, and The Mad Calamity: Fangxin, the Crimson Sword Deathly Flower.
Or: A HuaLian Reverse!AU resulting from a very specific canon divergence point.

Summary
Following the fall of the Heavenly Capital, Yin Yu wants exactly three things: a quiet house, a plot of winter melons, and absolutely zero drama.
Naturally, Quan Yizhen shows up to violently explode his front gate.
Pinned to the dirt under a hundred-and-eighty pounds of pure divine sunlight and sticky pastry crumbs, Yin Yu is forced to face his ultimate post-canon destiny: being aggressively, relentlessly, and utterly smothered in love by his former Shidi.
