The way Carlos was way too nice of a person and didn’t even allow TK to apologize for it, which in a way hurt TK more because the guilt had been so overwhelming it led him to the edge.
The edge, of course, being tears threatening to fall down his red face as he clinched the pill bottle of oxy’s in his right hand. They were supposed to be for his head a couple weeks back, even though he had initially denied even having them prescribed.

TK tried to form the words 'I love you' one last time, but it ended up just coming out as incoherent coughs. Carlos took one last look at TK, hesitating slightly before taking the big jump.
It was as his coughing fit finally halted that TK looked up to see his boyfriend had vanished. He ran over to the window frame, trying to get a look down at Carlos -- to see if he had landed okay. Unfortunately for him, the smoke prevented any sight of his boyfriend, and all he could do was pray as he, too, got positioned and ready for the jump. He took a deep breath of the fresh-ish air and prepared himself to jump, but that's when the unexpected happened. The house began to violently shake, and he just barely was able to catch himself from stumbling out of it by getting a good grip on the window frame. Now, he knew he really didn't have any time to waste, so he just went for the jump.
