Really, it's incredibly obnoxious, the way these two fit so well in the aching gaps between his ribs where loss has dug its claws in. They ought to be planning out their next runs, trying to figure out any possible way to get a hold of some new drop-related information. It's the apocalypse, and the list of things to do is arduous, infinite.
But there's organizing and sewing to do, too. So he lets the ever-present song of grief that haunts him fade into the jaunty, obscure pop-rock song that Cleo is certainly butchering. He stabs himself with his needle and bites out a few bouts of unpleasant words that make Etho’s eyes light up while he bubbles with laughter.
Yeah, maybe this is alright. Grian can worry about the rest of it tomorrow. It's the apocalypse, and all they have is time.
Grian, Cleo, and Etho are family; even if it's unusual, even if it's the zombie apocalypse. They wear their routines and quirks on their sleeves, keep their secrets and pasts buried six feet deep. But some ghosts are too vicious to outrun, and some secrets are far too fickle to keep.

When he opens the door and looks outside to see Tango wrapped in his own lead on the ground, covered in dirt, and with an allay floating over his head, he is incredibly unamused.

Summary
Momo would never admit that their new apartment sucks. They spent the rest of their hard-earned cash on this new apartment, so of course Momo isn’t going to complain about how it’s haunted, or how there’s no heating, or how sometimes the front door won’t lock properly. Being able to live under a roof with Yuki is enough happiness for him, and Yuki desperately wishes he could share that same sentiment and enthusiasm, but it’s hard to keep that simple mindset when there’s a blizzard freezing the place over.

Riku’s smiles always made Iori feel lighter, or he was energized by the small touches they shared (their arms brushing when they sat too close on the couch, Riku’s arm slung around Iori’s shoulder). When Riku placed the palm of his right hand on the space between them on the couch, Iori would inadvertently glance at it, wondering how it would feel like to place his hand on top of Riku’s, if he would feel the same current of energy if they intertwined their fingers."
Or, a possible scene of their drama is troubling both of them, and it makes Iori and Riku have a talk about their relationship. Which ends in kissing.

Iori says something, and Riku knows this because he can vaguely see Iori's mouth moving. But he can't make the words out. Iori gets a little bit closer and pulls the covers higher up. “I'll be back, Nanase-san. I promise. Get some rest.”
