Summary
Part One: Rise From the Ashes: Ch 1-11: Slow build, Hogwarts AU Years 1-7, melding canon w/ a little canon divergence in that Bellatrix, like Snape, was offered a second chance by Dumbledore and has taught at the school ever since. As the years progress and tensions build, she faces the difficult intersection of her two identities, the different parts she plays in other people's games, and the trauma of her past that often threatens to untether her entirely. Snape is still a character in the story, but Bellatrix takes on a lot of his roles/storyline in canon. As for Hermione, in her first few years, she can't help but look up to her brilliant, yet complicated professor. As she gets older, by the time she realizes her feelings have evolved into something more...it's already too late to turn away, not that she'd even want to.
Part Two: Reignite: Ch 12-?: Hermione returns to Hogwarts two years after the end of the war with Voldemort. Some things have changed, some things haven't. Bellatrix finally gets to try her hand at teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts. Attraction blooms and temptation is tested. Updates Wednesdays.

Summary
During the first Hogsmeade trip of Sixth Year, Hermione finds a wounded Death Eater passed out in the snow. A Death Eater with no memory of anything. The trio keep her prisoner in the room or requirement to gather information from her while she heals...but maybe there is no helping the bond that inevitably forms between two brightest witches of their respective ages. But Voldemort is coming, because she is his. His. Even though she doesn't want to be anyone's anymore. What happens when loyalties are tested? Will Bellatrix's connection with Hermione last if her memories are returned?
Mostly canon compliant.

Summary
Hermione Granger, scarred and disillusioned, grapples with the Ministry's attempts at peace. When Bellatrix Lestrange, a figure of terror and hidden complexities, unexpectedly becomes Hogwarts' new Defence Against the Dark Arts professor, Hermione, returning for her final year, is forced into a profoundly challenging new dynamic with the witch.
She figured the last time she’d ever see the woman was during her trial which Hermione had testified at. However, as their paths intertwine within the hallowed, yet still healing, halls of Hogwarts, an unsettling and undeniable connection begins to form between them. Navigating a wizarding world steeped in prejudice and emerging threats, Hermione and Bellatrix must confront their shared traumas and the deep-seated societal expectations that demand clear lines of good and evil. Can a profound, forbidden love blossom amidst the ashes of war, or will the weight of their intertwined pasts and the scrutiny of a watchful world ultimately tear them apart?
This fic is based on the HP world which is owned by JK Rowling, i do not own any characters this is purely written for pleasure. fuck JKR.

Summary
Five years have passed and Hermione is still struggling with the after-effects of the war. Sure, she loves teaching at Hogwarts, but, well, maybe using Bellatrix Lestrange's unconscious body as a mock-therapist isn't the most brilliant idea to deal with her trauma. The highly conservative turn taken by the Ministry and upending political turmoil all over Europe aren't helping either.
Then again, she is coping, however she can. And when Bellatrix eventually wakes up, she will be ready to face her, in court or otherwise. Right?E for later chapters
