Caitlyn can only manage a sweet, joyful giggle as her thumb traces over the text.
“It’s perfect. You…” She clears her throat. “You’ve done wonderfully.” Another pause as her tongue darts out to wet her lips, now donning a cheeky smirk. “Although, your longhand could use some work.”

Summary
The paycheck would be worth it. That cupcake wasn’t worth it though. It was Everyman for himself in Zaun, don’t look for help ‘cause they probably won’t find it. That had been evident in 90% of her kills.
Yet this wasn’t Zaun. She hesitates, looking at her footprints in the dirt for a few more moments before she lifts the bag off the ground and slings it back over her shoulder.
This cupcake better be goddamn worth it.

Vi has spent the majority of her life in the same cycle, she gets a target to kill, she follows through with it in her unique perspective and she gets a paycheck. Although she's content with how her life is, and she's obviously content with her paycheck – she's very surprised to find out her next mark is one that sends her into a mild crisis of faith and causes her to question a large portion of her life.

Summary
Freshly graduated from the police academy, Caitlyn Kiramman is determined to prove to her fellow officers that she is more than just a rich girl with a pretty face. After overhearing her commanding officers talking about an illegal fighting ring in the Undercity, she goes to investigate for herself with the hopes of gathering evidence to prove her worth.
What she finds is the equivalent of a nightmare, people being put inside the ring to fight each other to the death like dogs. It’s inhumane torture at the price of earning a profit and providing entertainment for a crowd. It gets even worse when she finds out one of the top fighters is someone no older than her, a pink haired girl with metal-clad fists and a sharp tongue to match, who’s fighting spirit reminds her far too much of her own.
It’s quickly discovered that something far more dangerous is brewing beyond the walls of Piltover, something that is far worse than anyone could have prepared for.

The man nodded. Nodded again. “Here’s half now - ten thousand. The rest when she’s gone.”
The man laid the envelope at Vi’s free hand. Drank his entire beer. Left quickly.
Vi looked up, looked through the large plate glass that acted as a window front to the bar, but the man was long gone, disappearing into the neon streets of Zaun. Vi popped the envelope open, found a wad of bills and a 5x7 photograph. The picture was of a woman, staring straight into the camera - dark navy hair, face mostly sharp angles, an intelligent gleam to blue eyes.
Vi shuddered out a breath, downed the rest of her second beer, and flipped the photo of the woman marked for death over.

Summary
Vi was struggling to make ends meet during Powder's senior year, until she had the opportunity that changed everything for them. An opening for a new gym teacher appears, urgent to fill the position after the school year had just started. This being a way to make ends meet and keep an eye on her sister, Vi shoots her shot.
Caitlyn is a criminology teacher who's been living in Piltover her whole life. After starting her own life outside of her and her mother's differences and separating herself from the police force, she continues on with her knowledge in criminal justice to teach at Piltover High.
She meets the new hire with full intentions to keep things professional, but life has other plans.
